Cloning might create live woolly mammoth

The extinct woolly mammoth could be brought back to life in as little as four years thanks to a breakthrough in cloning technology, a Japanese researcher says.

Akira Iritani, a professor at Kyoto University, says he wants to resurrect the species that died out 5,000 years ago by recovering nuclei from cells in the skin and muscle tissue of mammoths found in Siberian permafrost and inserting the nuclei into the egg cells of an African elephant, which will act as the surrogate mother for the mammoth, Britain's Daily Telegraph reported Thursday.

Ain't that interesting? Sure is.

Of course, many will say that it's a waste of money, considering the MILLIONS of species going extinct EVERY YEAR in the world...

I think the accurate quote is Life will ALWAYS find a way...

But yeah.

And about human cloning... I remember watching a news documentary back in the 90s from journalists that went undercover for a long time in the cloning business... and they had videos, pics and documents proving that human cloning was going on... and has been going on for decades.

Of course it's shady work... because I think it's illegal in most countries.

Now if it has succeeded... IMO there's a big chance... but it'll take decades before they make it public... if ever.
