This writing thing is something I have done for as long as I can remember. I usually don't share but there are so many excellent writers here I decided to give it a go. Hopefully it won't clear the room.
Clearly I am not a proffesional so if you must lol please atleast offer it up as constructive critisism.

It is darker here where I choose to wander.
The answers are clearer here where I choose to ponder

Cloaked in the night, this is where we roam alone
Never a safe refuge, never a safe place to call home

Often I have walked in more than one reality
Surprising how many pass through yet can not see

Living in fantasy and dreaming in color
Caring only for themselves and never another

They float right past with eyes wide closed
They choose not to see what has been exposed

For those there is no end to the shrouded night
There is no crack in reality to filter the light

Whispers in the night, screams riding the wind
I reach through the mist to try and show them

My breath comes quick and in haste
As I stand at the precipice with no time to waste

I gaze out at this tradgically beautiful site
Only to realize I have just begun to fight

At the end of it all will they ever see
That even in darkness I am still just me

Thank you so much for that! I was thrust back to high school days for a bit because nobody said anything. I thought jeez, that must have really sucked. For some crazy reason writing is the only thing I am overly self concious of.

So thanks again for reading and complimenting.
