A poem I wrote and posted on FB/
It’s easy to slay a man
Who believes in conspiracies.
The logic behind your theories was lacking
And those of us who noticed
Gave advice to up your dosage
Knowing damn well that pills complicate the prognosis.
I didn’t know you
But I read your cries for help.
I read schizophrenia painted on the walls of your profile.
Confusion was your second language.
Egocentrism was your first.
It disguised itself as an angel
And led you down the path of a madman;
Madmen never know how to express themselves.
Somehow you convinced yourself that
Murder would unlock God’s secret,
But your mind was the keeper of its keys.
The secret you seek is within your reach
But the peace preached by your inner good was ceased.
Your inner God spoke loudly
And you listened for whispers;
That’s not to say
That you aren’t to blame;
You chose to play the cards this way.
Even when we tried to help,
The words that you would say were empty.
Our community tried to help.
The media portrays us in tin foil hats
When in fact we were the only ones keeping you intact.
Bringing you back to touch reality was tough;
You were trapped in your mind’s own infinity.
For this reason,
The road not taken is often forsaken-
To avoid ending up this close to Satan.
You were this close to Divinity;
On behalf of ATS,
I apologize for not helping you see it.
