Just curious, your basis of argument is that Palin is a spokes person for hate? But I haven't seen any relevant Facts that would prove your theory. Or are you suggesting your opinion?

Words do not kill. Violence does

Violence comes from those who are on the edge. But why are there such people on the edge? Can a few simple words figuratively meant, from anyone force any human to act against his free will and do the bidding of others, with no direct contact and instructions?

Stop the violence and you will stop further senseless murders. To stop violence is to identify the root problem, not the peripherial causes. Remove the peripherical causes, the root remains, and it will only flare up another day.

Please all come to the senses. The 1st amendment is not the problem. It is the solution that will can only lead to find the root of problems, without fear or favour to any prince or principalities.

Is this so difficult to comprehend?

Question - How can we know what the root of the problem in when the person we are dealing with is detached from reality and therefore falls outside the norm of what you just described.

What would make a mom put her kids in a minivan and drive it into a lake?

What would make a mother drop her kid in boiling water?

What would make a person take hostages in a church, ask the perishoners if anyone would give their lives for the man he was going to kill, and when no one stepped up, executed the guy then surrendered.

If we were dealing with somewhat rationale people, its one thing. However, when the person has wandered off the reservation so to speak, and conventional thinking or rationalization we may have, is going to be incorrect for the sole fact we are looking at the situations from a ratioanl viewpoint of catalyst, action and aftermath.

These people, including the shooter, is not seeing the world in a rational manner that mainstream people see it as. Trying to use mainstream rationales in an effort to explain non mainstream irrantionalites will not work.

Sticks and stones will break my bones, but names will never hurt me! Said by one youngster to another calling names. [1894 G. F. Northall Folk-Phrases 23]

Words only hurt as much as we allow them to hurt us. If we prevent them from doing so, by either ignoring them or disallowing their impact to have any lasting effect, then we take away their power.

They are, after all, only words.

She is, she operates and gains support using hatred as a wedge, to a much lesser degree; just like Hitler, David duke or Early Malcom X... You dehumanize your oppenent by creating anger an fear of what they are trying to accomplish, just like Mr. chin strap above - The tactic is age old and very effective... World history is filled with
volumes of people just like yourself, people who are unable to see the rhetoric for what it is. You asking for proof represents the fact that you are clueless to the implications of what you support. You start saying that a whole population is evil and that puts you in the category of hate for political ambition and gain, simple.

The whole purpose for ATS discussions is not only to define ones view, but to submit facts to verify a persons statements. Without facts, then anyone's argument has no merit.

Your above quote suggests, that " facts be damned ", and base your argument off of emotion rather than evidence to substantiate your claims. If I'm so clueless, why is it most people know that the cross hair advertisement was developed long before Louhgner crazed actions? Furthermore, why don't you address, the very same tactics that your party ( obviously ) in fact used as well?

You claim " rhetoric ",;

the undue use of exaggeration or display; bombast.

was implemented by the Republican party, and yet you feel the need to ignore that it was in fact the Democratic party who attempted to put the spin on the actions of Loughner, all perpetrated by the conservatives?
It would appear either your unable to comprehend the actions of the Democrats, or unable to comprehend or more specifically, are clueless to the implications YOU support.

The inability to submit constructive FACTS relevant to the topic at hand only further solidifies your arrogance.

It doesn't take agressive statements and lies from the media to make someone do that.

Sometimes all it takes is the truth.

Ignorance is bliss... and for the unstable mind... a blessing.

.

No human is born out of a rock. We all have kinfolks and friends. It is them that must be the first to see the signals. Detachment from reality does not comes overnight. It happens over a period of time. And it will be the responsibility of kinsfolk to help, and if they cant, to seek for outside help. Mental problems can, and had been proven solvable cases. One word - care. Do we care enough? More so our own kinsfolk and friends?

We may not have the power to save the world, but surely we have the compassion, patience and heart to save our own, don't we? We all need each other in this journey of life, and that which is given, will be return one day. We will never know when it will be our turn to be on the edge, and when there's no helping hand, you and i may just turn out to be another Jared.

To solve problems, it must begin with you and me, no matter what the problems are, how big or small they are.

To the original OP, at least a majority of those polled can see through the political spin. When the vast majority realize this about nearly every major news story, that would be progress.

As for this Palin, Democrat debacle it's just insane. Who cares? All they are doing is appealing to what they think is just over half of the population. Palin creating an atmosphere of anything? Not likely. We really don't need to care about Jared's political (or lack of) ideas, now that fact itself may be given some blame, as out of touch.

The real problem is how the true story and events are not being focused on. How did he do this? Could anything have been done to prevent it (without infringing on rights)? What is the current legal proceeding status? Of course this is available, but it's not the headlines right now. The MSM is a joke and commercial, different sources selling different products.
