Is it because she's so brilliant? Is it because she has done so much? Why is it?

A perfect storm of preparation meeting opportunity. Palin is responsible for the former, luck the latter.

So she said it on her show? Ok, I'll find it without providing ratings (I hate to do that as well
) Thanks for the direction. I was watching something else on TLC and they had a clip during commercial with the whole refundiate gaffe, amusing, she said she typed a d instead of a t but I wonder what word that would've made?

Well then you agree, luck, a golden ticket in a chocolate bar.
Down to brass tacks, would you vote for this woman to lead America or are you just arguing?

Why are you people parading Obama's gaffe's around next to Palin's like she's not a thin-skinned idiot? Her speech writer should learn to look at context and learn the history of word or phrase before trying to make Palin sound intelligent. Notice the timing of her video. Most of the media had stopped talking about the politics of the murder and focusing more on the chemical imbalance the guy had. She just HAS to keep her name in the public.

Haha my only guess is she thinks repudiate is pronounced with an F and a silent N (only rich people are allowed to use the silent N).

Didn't Obama say,

"They bring a knife, we'll bring a gun?"

Or did everybody forget about that?

Everyday you manage to wake is the result of a certain measure of luck.

You, on the other hand, completely discount her efforts to capitalize upon it.

It is unlikely I would vote for her presidential candidacy, but you never know...

Yep. I really don't know why she did it.Why it was so long and anything, but condolences. Why she brought 9/11 up. Why she brought up the fact that she doesn't disagree with Obama (we f&*$ing get itttt!). Why she didn't google a term that she didn't know (obviously her speechwriter is trying to help bring her down with everyone else finaallly) The list goes on.

No I don't. How hard could it be to capitalize on it when you are already famous. People want to make money off of you, you in turn make money too. They pay socialites just to show up at bars. Palin does the same thing,

More than being concerned that SP is dumb as a box of rocks, or that her speechwriters have it in for her, or whatever, I'm worrying that she came across the 'blood libel' idea all by herself, in something she'd read. And in what kind of books, or postings, do you find a phrase as unusual, or having anything like the same meaning as 'blood libel'? Well, not in the sort of places I'd want either my kids or my politicians to be looking, that's for sure.

It's sad that anyone would seek to profit off this tragedy, but it's not just the left who's doing it:

No. Being an idiot does.

It is not her "stance" on any given issue that makes her an idiot...but instead her utter ignorance of most issues beyond the rhetorical "freedoms" and "Socialisms".

Throw in a big smile and a whole lot of unwarranted confidence in discussing those issues...you get idiot.

Geeze...the McCain camp was so aware of it they pulled her from speaking publically and even now she only does so in the safest of outlets or under a no-questions agreement.

Her "stance" on the issues has nothing to do with her being an idiot.

Her being an idiot does.

Sanders is a real idiot and deserves any heat he gets and then some. Huffpost is beating him up over it and rightly so.

Sleeze.

Her story is easy to appreciate...and she's effective to many because of it.

A mother of four children...married to her high school sweetheart...living in Alaska close to the land...a beauty queen...a two term mayor...Governor...presidential running mate..."maverick"...but traditional values champion...books...social media...national political figure...international name recognition...

And her opponents have just as assuredly contributed to Palin's success, as her supporters. Without the combination of both, I doubt she would have otherwise risen and maintained this level of national prominence.

But regardless, I'd say she has achieved a heck of a lot. She's only 47.

Your side has blamed everybody except him.

meaning democrats/liberals?

Please... you do a lot of talking yourself there... just assuming that all liberals and democrats are behaving the way a few of them are... You really think we all are trying to blame everyone except the shooter?

Well, then apparently I am a republican in your eyes.

Let me tell you this. I do tend to have more liberal views... But I have been all over this website saying to anyone trying to pass the blame around, that the blame lies with no one except for the shooter. Political rhetoric is out of control... but you know what? That has nothing to do with anything.

As long as any form of government has existed people have had political opinions... And yet even before that, there was violence... Cut back on the rhetoric or not, violence will continue. Blaming Sarah Palin is stupid. I don't agree with most of the things she says, but you know what? She has every right to say it.

Besides, Repubs are not the only ones who spew political rhetoric. They ALL do it.... Left and right. Democrat and republican.

The blame lies squarely on Mr. Loughner. Simple as that.... I could go tell you to kill a person. But you know who would be responsible if you actually killed them? You! Because sadly, words are just words...

The murder is the one responsible... Period.... And this is coming from a dirty liberal.
