I visited the site pretty often and now i registred to give u some informations i found.
I´m in Germany so please to be mad if my english isn´t perfect. i try my best.

btw: s&f means star + flag - i got that. but my question: is this good or bad or what does it stand for?

A star can be given to your post by any member of the community that thinks you made a good point, compelling argument, etc.. Basically they liked your post. A flag can be given by members of the community in order to raise attention to a certain thread that has been created. It's also a good thing. If you had a thread that brought something new here and something that was extremely interesting, you would likely receive many flags.

Welcome Rocket. I am new here as well. My Opa und Oma came from Germany (Essen und Morsbach) to America back in the early 1920's! I love the language.

nice to hear that.
the reason i signed here is because i often read interesting news about science/space in german media and those informations are worth to be shared.
and 99% of it are from reliable magazines like Der Spiegel
A lot of my posts will refer to this site. I will try to translate the important parts from german to english but with a little research i often find articles of the same topic in english. but some of them not here. so here we go!

Your English will be just fine, way better than my German if you have the balls to joins a forum in English about philosopical and controversial topics in a language not your own you deserve a star IMO.

Hi rocket, you have enough posts now if you have not already made a thread go to the Fragile Earth Forum click New Thread and go from there. I would suggest putting your thread together in any word program first. I have seen many times a member complain that hours of work was lost because the title they picked had already been used, so save it to a word program on your computer too

There is no need for German, ATS is English only, and do not create minimal posts to start your new thread. Post one or two paragraphs, a link to the entire story, AND your opinion, twist or take on the news item as a means to inspire discussion or collaborative research on your subject

If you are going to post news articles the title must be exactly the same as the original news article.
