What an interesting thread ! And exhausting...

It sums up how much emotionally driven and easily manipulated we are.

James the crybaby is upset John said Michael is his best buddy.

Breathe a second. Feel this emotional outrage growing because of the comparison.
It worked again. You fell for it again. Yes, you did.

Is that the best we can do ? Especially here on ATS where members are supposedly more aware and mindful, probably with more hindsight.
We may think we are better than the rest but we are all sheeple, all of us, I am sheeple, We The Sheeple !

Obama may say whatever he wants to push Sarkozy before a panel of journalists, do you think it makes any difference ? America still recognizes the UK as his biggest ally. From some comments about Obama's roots in Kenya, you'd think some people believe Obama made a statement with words from his heart !
We are talking about politicians here. Their talent is to lie and deceive. They are actors but they play on another stage, Hollywood is for the mediocre ones.

The word 'hate' and its declension appears 20 times (I counted) in the thread so I guess the thread is partly about hate.
Blind hate. Hate for someone because he was given a passport because he was born in some random place.

It's crazy most of us here we are wary of the actions of our governments, we question if they always act for the benefit of the citizens in mind. But when the nationalist/patriotic card is pulled, oh my... our blood boils. This ancient conditionning still works amazingly. It's a gut reaction, it works all the time. Will we ever learn ?

I think it works like this...

We declare country <insert country who the US gov need/want something from> our biggest ally.

But are all yanks scum? Nah. Is the leadership of the USA scum? Absolutely 100%

A tactful move on Obama's part. He is definitely after something, the question is: what do the French have to offer that Obama wants so badly?

You know what????

At first I was going to write a blistering counter post BUT you're right.

Well, that's good news for the Brits and bad news for the French! It means the French are colluding more with the instigation of the NWO.

Well, if there is truth in this report the White House wants to tread VERY carefully because they are risking isolating their greatest allies and eventually the Americans will be isolated and left on their own. As it stands already many of their allies are not happy campers where their American counterparts are concerned and are now more wary since the recent Wikileaks. Since the Wikileaks we have seen a new unity of all South American leaders sticking together, as Hillary Clinton found on her recent visits there and the EU is not far behind.

As for France, we all know when the Nazi flag is flown in French cafes, the French wave white flags and call the Brits. The French don't have the stomach for war...except those Norman Franks up in the North who are'nt really French but closer cousins to the Brits.

ohh, how nice. i thought israel was americas bff. i guess america can facebook france now and send them sunshine.

i guess england just took america off it's friends list. facebook has done it again, ruined another great friendship.

someone should do a facebook of countries. iran would only have 3 friends, russia, china and n.korea.

"Ello"
"Hi its barry, hows my bff?"
"Je suis bon baarie, how can i help you mon grande freind?"

"Can you send some troops to help us in Afghanistan?"

Click

"Hello? Nick? You there? He hung up!"

10 downing street the phone rings

"Dave how are you my good buddy?"

Click

"Dave? Dave? Dammit!"

That pretty much sums it up.

I must admit that at this precise moment in time I can honestly say that I am not 'Proud To Be British' reading your slight over reaction.

Also I feel certain that you have picked the wrong forum to speak the crap you keep spouting. Its people like you that make other nations hate us.

Find another forum to Spout this I am British and better than you crap ffs!!

Wooohhh there! You may be proud to be English but Thank god you dont run the country....

I partly agree with him, but not on the scum part or visa tangles.

The deal with the US still being here is part of an outdated relic from WW2 where we've had US forces on British soil for OVER 70 years!
Lets see, the Brits, according to 'history' won WW2.
Yet why do we have foreign troops on our soil? They use their own currency too (not many know that).
Yes they are friendly and allied, however, we are in the 21st century now and they've more than outstayed their welcome.
I don't get any special benefits when visiting the US as a Brit. I don't get a green card or indefinate stay like they do.
Indeed how many British bases with British troops are there based in the US? None. It cuts both ways this thing and few realise it.
Also Britains so-called 'nuclear deterrent' is mostly a white elephant when you realise that the guidance system rely's on US satellite's and codes.
So any independent action contrary to US-policy is impossible, imagine a war where the US is on its knees and the Brits can't even launch a nuke because the US will-not, or is unable to do so?
So scrap trident and remove 80% of foreign forces on British soil. The space created will mean our German-based forces can come home.

Just like to say this guys a idiot and in no way represents the normal British opinion. And i and most people understand that Obama is in the game of politics. And the way to judge truely whom is their greatest ally would be which country it shares a unprecedented level of millitary co-operation with, so Israel lol. No but seriously i think i heard somewhere that MI5/6 have a direct com link with the pentagon or some other institution etc etc and our the only foreign nations intelligence service to have such a link.

what about us who have dual nationality like me and beezzer would you deport us too?

No nation is intrinsicly bad only individuals and goverments are

I'm proud of Americans, just not so much with America. If you get my meaning. What continues to draw me back to the U.K. is tradition, stability. Proper form.
Anyone who asks us to leave, they are the ones who shouldn't be there in the first place.

It's one thing to have soldiers, quite another to have civilians...

The WW2 agreements were heavily in the US' favour and verged on profiteering from war loans and the like.
That legacy has never been dared addressed, partly due to the cold war.
Well the cold war is over now and has been for many years...

Are you actually serious? Yes, let's forget the heaps of evidence that shows that Obama is a fighter for corporate America and the richest of the rich. Let's ignore the fact that not a single piece of legislation pushed by Obama can actually be considered socialist by definition. If you do these, then yes, this is absolute proof that Obama is a rabid socialist.

Sigh.

You obviously aren't dialed-in on the inner-workings of Obama's healthcare bill then.

I wasn't going to post this as there are more important things happening in the world like the Australian floods.

However I thought it deserved a thread.

I know it is from the DM so cannot attest to its veracity, but c'mon!

The French HATE America!

I think this is proof that obama is a rabid socialist who hates Britain.

I think he is very out of touch with the reality of British and American ties and the countries people he supposed to represent.

Maybe he fancies Sarkozy' wife? And loves how the frogs have just sold ships and other military hardware to his socialist Russian comrades?

Who knows?

Lets see how quickly the french come to their "biggest allies" aid when the shtf.

They will be too busy running the other way!

i posted this in another thread but the sentiment is still applicable.

I would consider it an act of selfless council to advise your president to proceed with the minimum of expectations with regards to his new found best friend. The French political class are notoriously selfish concerning their own interests before any other and will undermine any alliance that does not benefit them foremost. The diplomatic community will pay no mind to this show of diplomatic fur stroking and see it for the political maneuvering it really is. It wont take long for Wikileaks to report the French socially elite class muttering disparaging remarks about the first ladies fashion sense, Mr Obama's heritage, or the lack of sophistication of the American people in general, but Vive Le Dollar......for now. The british are well versed in the mercurial idiosyncrasies of the French political elite as our neighborers have taught us well over many years.
Do we readilly forget the price for the joint liberation of their homeland was a refusal for years to allow us in to their profitable club called the common market. I would again advise caution in your enthusiasm as disapointment between friends can be most disconcerting..

If I was French I would say... "No thank you for such friendship. You better keep UK as your best friend"

Lets face... who want such friendship... dragging you around to so many stupid wars and endeavors...
