To all the people who want to ban guns.

Everytime someone gets shot the anti gun people and anti constitution people come out spewing all this crap about take away their guns and this will come to an end.

Well people I hate to break it to you but you are all wrong.

Here is your proof.

Look at NY gun crime. Oh wait but it is against the law to bring a gun into NY right. Well people maybe you can tell me why their gun crime rate and murder by gun rates are so high.

Now look at Massachuttes which has the most toughest gun laws in the state. Every single day there is a shooting in boston and mattapan or cambridge. Why you might ask? Because if you get arrested for a gun violation instead of a manidtory year in jail. If you get caught with one without a liscense you get a slap on the peeper and that is it. Suspended sentence time served probation.

Now lets look at the state of Texas.
All of its citizens or most of them are armed. It has one of the lowest crime rates and lowest gun related murders.

Why. Thats right. No answer

Taking away guns is not the answer people.

Look at any country where it is illegal to own or posses a pistol or shot gun. Find one and look up gun related murders. Hey why are they high gee I wonder how can that be.

Thats right taking away guns is the agenda of the socialists.To make us into sheeple so we cannot defend ourselves.

Look, we can argue with these liberals until we are blue in the face. They just refuse to accept the truth. Just like the refuse to accept the truth about taxation. They have their own paradigm and they are boxed into it. This is why some call liberalism a mental disorder. I do not know if that is true, but I have seen that they refuse to accept reality. I instead they want to immediately jump to some perfect world that cannot exist now.

Don't rage too hard, it's unhealthy. Some people are simply dumb enough to believe that because some is law it is dogma. As long as laws exist, people will seek to break those laws for their own reasons. It's simply the way of the world.

For instance, how often do you exceed the speed limit? Just because it it's illegal doesn't mean we don't. Quite frankly, it's more important to be on-time for whatever you're headed to than it is to be a good law-abiding citizen. This is only a small example used to prove my point. Just like you speed, get over without using a blinker, throw your cigarette butts out the window, rougher people like to steal, murder, and ruins lives.

Bad people will always exist. Just that much more reason to allow the normal people to have guns. The people who are going to go on a shooting rampage or a killing spree are going to do so regardless of whether or not guns are legally available to them. Just like addicts will continue using their drug of choice regardless of whether it is or is not illegal.

Laws mean nothing to a determined person.

I don't like the idea of having an armed society. I've grown up in a place where you can't own a gun.

I agree with you. And I have to say that I am somewhat surprised that there were NOT people attending the Arizona event who were legally carrying weapons. As a holder of a CCW permit it always amazes me that some businesses post a "no firearms allowed" sign in their windows making it a felony to carry one in. A mass movement in my state (Ohio) appears to have opened peoples eyes when it was pointed out to them..."which do you want in your place of business? Someone illegally carrying a weapon, or someone with a CCW permit who has had a background check, training with the weapon, and adjudged by law enforcement to be a law abiding citizen?" If more people exercised their 2nd amendment rights we would all be a lot safer. Just my .02

You can crow about your guns in America...but compare the murder rates for Toronto and Detroit...about 10 times higher per capita in Detroit.

We all know this.

The Anti-Gun lobby is ANTI-AMERICAN. They want to render the Constitution obsolete.

When they take away the guns they will not have any barrier from taking away the rest of the Bill of Rights.

It's part of the American way of thinking to happily and willingly trade personal safety for personal freedom. It's the basis our country was founded on. Back in 1700s we told the king to shove it, ignoring the fact that'd he send an army bigger than our country to put us in our place. It's just how we think.

The freedom to live your life as you please without fear of judgement, oppression, or ridicule is more important to me than my own life. And I mean that for everyone. I'd give everything up to defend not only my fellow American rights as humans but, anyone from any country. Governments don't decide what freedoms we deserve, we do. If you aren't willing to fight for it the you probably will never attain it. No authority figure can make you do anything if you aren't afraid of them. What's your life really worth if it's spent in servitude to those who only want to oppress you?

Also, I'm not saying it's wrong to sit down and be quiet if you feel that's your best course of action but, is that really satisfying in any way?

I thought it true what I heard someone say on TV the other day, when people get killed by cars, no one ever speaks of banning cars, it's the driver, same with guns, it's not the gun, it's the shooter.

If guns are banned, then only legal law abiding citizens will not have them, and the criminals will.

Personally, I think we do need stronger/stricter gun laws.
I think every legal citizen should be allowed to have ANY type of gun they want, but it needs to be legally purchased and registered.
Anyone caught illegally in possession of a firearm, needs to get 10 years prison.
Anyone caught committing a crime with a firearm, life in prison.
Anyone killing someone with a firearm in the act of a crime, death.

We do need the right to have guns, but gun crime should not be tolerated at all.

Americans will never get why the Brits or Canadians or anyone else doesn't want guns in the same way that America does.... this debate always goes the same way.


We're all sheep and our governments will come and kill us all because we don't have guns coming out of our asses.

Dealing with this issue in absolutes never serves any rational end. Obviously access to weapons is regulated in our world, whether we like it or not. I mean it's not like we can walk into a store and say "Hey, I'll take six RPG's, a stealth bomber, and a tank.". Nor can we, in most places, possess fully automatic weapons.

Finding the balance between the freedom to own guns, where and how we can carry and use them, and who should have access to them is a difficult prospect. And it is a given that not everyone will agree with the balances which are achieved.

And this from a person who is described as "liberal" but who owns two side arms and a shotgun.

I agree.

I get very pissed off because I am usually a very good driver. I get pissed becasue I'm the guy who speeds up or slows down so another driver can get in or out. I try to be curtious to my fellow drivers and let people go which drives my wife crazy as she never lets anyone in.

Its when the one time I was unaware that I was going a little fast and got pulled over and the cops and he wa a dick head.

I drive alot every day. I have cops specifically State troopers in Mass and NH who go the average... This is the arerage speed these guys drive is 70 mph. I have never seen a staty driving the speed limit. I have seen them at 80mph as well. I think they like to filter the traffic sort of by coming up behind cars. I see it all the time.

Me I do the best I can to stay at the speed limit. I have an excellent driving record never been hit and never hit anyone.

I go crazy when young teens go flying by and they are on the phone with 4 kids in the car goofing around and texting at the same time.

Last years I was on my way home from work and this young girl probably in her early 20's goes flying by me doing about 70-80 on here phone texting and the road was covered with slush on the highway and she was in the high speed lane.

About 3 minutes go by and I see her up ahead out of her car no jacket on and the front of her car is implanted in the guard rail and she is standing at the back of her car waiting there for somone to crash into her like an idoit.

I did call the police and tell them I saw here go wizzing past me at about 70-80 while she was texting which is against the law. I said she looked ok as she was out of here car on the phone but I told them they better get there quickly as she is standing in the highspeed lane and it is snowing and she is standing at the trunk of her car waiting to be hit.


By the way the other day I saw an idiot doing the same thing. It was dark out at 9 oclock at night and this idiot lady was standing at the trunk of her car on the ramp on a bend on her phone not even looking at the on coming traffic.

Good way to get dead people. Listen If your car has broken down get away from it and move bnack off of the road so someone doesn't crash into u and kill you.
