www.bugmenot.com...

BugMeNot provides a login & password for most news sites and some other sites that require registration to view them. We're all paranoid here. Now you don't have to give your email address when you want to catch up on news (even tho ATSNN &
TerrorAnalysis never require registration, and are both excellent sources of news.
)

If you're using Mozilla Firefox, you can also get the BugMeNot extension. Right click on any site that requires registration, select the "BugMeNot" option, and a window will open with the login & password.

Deny info-gathering & spam!

That was a useful community services announcement. I tire of trying to remember logins for NY Times or Washington Post or obscure websites where men in tights wrestle with women in tights.

But can someone direct me to an actual site devoted to "news"? Much so called "news" seems to be either an advertorial or a party political statement these days. Where can you get facts without wading through the morass of who owns the medium to work out what the agenda is?
