Love this site. Have been reading it for ~6 months now and decided to join.
I am quite interested in reading about our changing environment and there is no doubt there is plenty to read on this site. I enjoy reading all the comments for different opinions so that I don't remain in a one-sided thought process. Otherwise what I am trying to say is (always two sides to the story).

If you are curious about the screen name, I love animals and rehabilitate the smaller orphaned animals in the spring. Most orphans come about as their mothers are killed by cars or their homes destroyed (trees, stumps, dens, etc.) Skunks are my favorite. They are so misunderstood...and no...I have never been sprayed!

I am 52 and have been around for a spell in life.
