Yeah that's gonna end well. Come on, cops, do your thing for once.
You did nothing when Jared did death threats against lots of people before the shooting.

Jared Loughner has been making death threats by phone to many people in Pima County including staff of Pima Community College, radio personalities and local bloggers. When Pima County Sheriff’s Office was informed, his deputies assured the victims that he was being well managed by the mental health system. It was also suggested that further pressing of charges would be unnecessary and probably cause more problems than it solved as Jared Loughner has a family member that works for Pima County. Amy Loughner is a Natural Resource specialist for the Pima County Parks and Recreation.

US congressman receives death threat

US Congressman Danny Davis has received a threatening email following Saturday's shooting in Arizona that killed six people and seriously wounded a congresswoman.

"It was some person who emailed one of my staff persons and said that 'Danny Davis is next,'" Davis said.

So what about doing something now before tragedy happens again?

Or is this some ``self sent email`` or the email doesn't even exist in the first place to hype the propaganda to pass laws? Wouldn't surprise me too.

Oh jeez, here come the copy cats. Anybody that stupid is probably stupid enough to send the email from their home computer. They'll be arrested in no time, I'm sure, especially in this context.

I bet it's just some punk with a sick sense of humor trying to be funny and maybe get some media attention.

This just shows how people are really ticked off (I would love to use the real word I am thinking of but..); at the government right now. People are sick of it. Wheeler was killed,(it could have been an inside job); then this shooting I am not suprised at all to hear this.

Could this have been the previous killer mailing something the long way and it just took 5 days to reach this other guy? Who is the letter from? If I missed that part, sorry, I am not worthy.

Well, I'm all for free speech, but when TPTB allow nutjobs like Fred Phelps to publicly call for "more vet killers" and to state that God made this happen, THAT'S where I draw a big line. What can you expect? There ARE other nutjobs out there that frequent places like youtube, etc. and some of them will go to extremes to get their 15 minutes of fame.

I definitely agree with this. It is interesting how the attention has been shifted from Wikileaks to officials being threatened and killed. It all seems to be happening and will be used to place further restrictions on people.

That brings it back to the guns regulations. We can have freedom of speech all we want but it may be a dangerous time for guns to be out there. People like Fred Phelps and others can more or less recruit martyrs for their causes but lets not give these martyrs the tools to do it!

Yeah, but IMO there is no way that they can fully implement gun control in the US. That is directly against the constitution, and probably only a small minority of people will cave and give up their weapons to Big Brother. Even if they decide that citizens are no longer fit to carry weapons, how are they going to follow through with it? Get a record of every person that has bought weapons, and just go to their door and be like "Hey we need your guns that you paid hundreds, if not thousands of dollars for, because one kook went overboard and shot up some people"

I guess the bad apple spoils the bunch

Check out this thread about whether or not lawmakers should armed. . What I think could happen is pure escalation until the whole of America demands change and you know the government loves change.
The government probably will not aim to take your guns away but they will make you question whether we all should have guns or not.

I knew it!

After reading about the charges being dismissed against this guy after his "classes" and the facts coming out now that the police were called like 5 times to the college about this freak, I said in a thread that the Sheriff was probably covering something up.

Okay, I am on a roll!

Hey OP, you should send this to a few news outlets.

I have a few places I send things I find. If you need any just U2U me.

This has to be released if true. This would PROVE that the Sheriff was using his rhetoric to cover the police in this debacle. WOW.

Maybe someone else wanted Gifford dead and used this kid as the outlet and allowed him to take out his anger and vengeful actions??

Well, we have read and researched attempted use of deranged people. I do not know how you can direct someone that does not have all the faculties to even function in society. How would one go about that?

I am thinking this guy was mentally ill. By what is coming out now about his bizarre behavior at college it would seem that this would be the case. I would think attempting to use someone like that would be almost impossible to cover up all the problems such a person would inherently cause to an operation.

Just my opinion. I think this is just another case like Hassan, things pointed directly at their mental instability yet NOTHING was done about it. Including in this case, not putting a mental restriction on him getting a gun.

Just sent it to 4 different locations. I am sure they will attempt to get some information out of the police departments involved. If this is true, there could be some huge ramifications.

You know what, you get applause from me for this find-

I would rather question it than have it be a reality. "pure escalation until the whole of American demands change", the only way I could see this happening if it becomes full blown anarchy in the streets, with some wackadoo on every block shooting people up.

I think so. Doesn't matter if it's "self sent" or not. What matters is that they suddenly feel the need to tell us.

Politicians get threats all the time, it's nothing new. The only difference now is that they are going to use them to their advantage.
