I am in the Bayside of Brisbane and have getting some heavy falls then blue sky and sun and then black clouds. lol. My place has a moat now. Though when the rain stops for a couple of hours the water recedes luckily.

18m of water expected to hit the Bremer River in Ipswich by midday. The water has now reached the Bremer system from the Lockyer valley, it's on it's way into Brissie.

It's getting exciting, time to go pick up my daughter from daycare and ensure the family is safe. I'm in a high area thankfully, but want to make sure I can actually get to/from the daycare center.

Yeah Davies Park will probably go under water. Damn probably no Farmers market this weekend.
But looking at the meteorological map it looks like the clouds and rain will be gone by mid afternoon.

Just to let you know, they are safe. They are in Coloundra with family.

Looks like they will get it there too though, the rivers are rising.

It's lovely that while all this flooding was going on in other parts of QLD and before it was happening in Toowoomba, PM Gillard was doing photo ops with sport teams.

I live in a suburb called Albany Creek and it is absolutely barrelling down with rain at present. I am about 20 minutes from the city, so hopefully the flooding doesn't get too bad here. I have some photos and videos of Cash's Crossing flooding big time that I'll upload when I get the time.

We're in for something big.

It seems that both Gillard and Abbot have stayed out of the light since the floodings.
I guess it's like what was happening pre-election, they both try to not bring attention to themselves so that neither one can be judged any worse than the other.

Folks please dont make this political right now

We can vent our spline to our hearts content well and truely after this crisis is over,
and they do have it coming lol...now isnt the time IMO

Many have already lost their lives
Many are missing
Many have lost everything
Many have lost their livihoods (businesses, farms)
Others are on standby as the flood waters come closer
Looks like there is worse to come
Possible cyclone later in the week?

There is a low system over Vanuatu that is being watched.
See bom.gov.au weather charts for updates or cyclone outlooks on that site.
