You know I spent over 10 years in Arkansas (before starting my "collection") and really loved the people and the country there. Would have moved back there when I escaped from CA, but it was too far for my wife from her family (still in CA). Hell, I even took her to a Razorbacks FB game, but sadly it wasn't enough. Still I'm also in a good place now with lots of freedom.

So, what are the gun laws in AR like? Can you buy an AR? Is there a waiting period between purchase and pickup?

I left AR briefly to move to Indianapolis (for a girlfriend who wanted to be closer to her family) but that didn't last long before I came back. I can honestly say I feel I belong here, the views are great and we aren't as backwards as some people seem to think, plus people here will give the shirts off there backs to help a stranger. The gun laws are great here no waiting period even on handguns, just a phone call for a background check and if you pass you're out of there in maybe 15 minutes. It's even better if you have a CCW (which are very reasonable to get here) all you do is flash the CCW they take down the information and you're out the door without a background check. The only thing I wish we had here was open carry. As far as buying an AR here, it's no harder than buying a 10/22 and as far as I remember they are legal for hunting here. Gotta love them Hogs, I really think if we would have tightened up that game we would have walked over Ohio.

I can't stand the heat but I am jealous as hell of the wild hogs you guys have down there.

No hogs here.

The heats not too bad, it's the humidity that is a killer in my neck of the woods you're pretty lucky to get down to 80% although last summer it did hit like 105 it was miserable as hell. I actually left my house 30 minutes outside hot Springs and went to Louisiana to hang out with some friends and hit up a casino or 3 and it was actually less humid when I got there a few hours later...go figure.

We do have hogs, more so up North but I try to go at least once a year for a hog hunt, it's my favorite game to hunt in this great state. What we were talking about up there was the U of A Razorbacks football team A.K.A the Hogs, woo pig!
