Imagine that fellow ats'rs

In the minutes following the shooting of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-AZ) and members of her staff, the website operated by Sarah Palin that illustrated Gifford's 8th district with gun crosshairs drawn on a map was scrubbed from the internet. The site, TakeBackThe20.com, was operating normally at 1:07 CST when I connected to obtain an image of the crosshairs map:

From here
the author says this...

When I connected approximately one hour later at 2:10 PM, the site had been replaced with a webserver error, meaning that the webserver was answering but that the content upon it an hour earlier was not being served View image Later, at approximately 2:45 PM, the server could no longer be reached at all. Clicks to it met with a DNS error, meaning that any clicks to TakeBackThe20.com would not find an underlying IP address. View image While material on the site including the aformementioned map can be found elsewhere on Facebook and Twitter and other web sites, at press time, no image of the site was found in The Internet Archive at archive.org.

Is this the pic they are talking about?

Well well well. I take it all back Sarah Palin is nuts but she is not stupid. IMHO I don't think the Tea party is behind this one. The guy seems to be coming from an an area of personal madness. Will we ever get to the bottom of all of this??

This thread has links to screen shots of Palin's page, where she tells her followers to get Gifford in their cross-hairs. Has pics of the target poster too.

Well I'm not sure that she actually said that.... but not really sure she needed to.

It's pretty irresponsible for a politician to use such images.

Thanks. ...More than bad taste, imho.

Incitement to riot, conspiracy (the real kind), and more, I'm sure.

I hope these destructive dangerous conservatives will learn something from this, particularly that ignoramus Sarah Palin.
She should shut her dam mouth because this is dangerous stuff in a mad world.

If Assange can be charged, and Wikileaks charged...

then Palin should be charged. Her actions were beyond irresponsible - they resulted in murder at her direction.

Any human being who has the popularity of Sarah Palin [even though her popularity demonstrates the perverse culture we live in] and who commands World-Wide press of every word she says is so irresponsible to use killing metaphors towards congress people and then one of them gets gunned down by a nut who happens to be one of her mentions, should be denonunced.

I agree Soficrow..

seems like she is just as sick as the people who end up doing these horrendous crimes,

I mean really? crosshairs? reload? what next? lock and load?

I have thought for some time that Sarah Palin was a neocon poison pill. That if the Tea Party swallowed it they would be killed as a result. This is her purpose in my opinion. She is the Tea Party poison pill prescribed by the neoconservatives.

How do you know? Is there any proof that the killer is a follower of Palin?
