I think the fact an investigation began and then was terminated implicates the possibility of senior level offenders.

It is commonplace occurrence in the military. My vehicle experienced blue on blue from an 82nd M2. No investigation. Detainee abuse trial was held, and one 1SG was reassigned, no further investigation. Another blue on blue involving a sleeping superior officer ordering fire in his waking moments, no investigation. I was left behind in Iraq, in the middle of a fire fight with a battle for over an hour, no investigation. A 1SG was caught with kiddie porn and was merely reassigned. A SSG was caught with naked pictures of a PVT's wife whom that SSG had repeatedly requested UCMJ Action against, no investigation or reprimand, the PVT was chaptered out. The list goes on and on, just from personal experience.

yes.. but, this is about Child porn, in our government....not about A SSG was caught with naked pictures of a PVT's wife

and high gov. officials are getting away with it.. due to the fact that it's being covered up and blocked

I wounder what would happen if someone in the pentalawn found they kid was being mol'd ?? ~!!!! I'd REALLY like to know..

I'd also like to know what the other soldiers are doing about this... this needs to be slammed in the face of congress, our dictator Osama, Judicial arm, every other world government that we will NOT stand for this any longer~!! It's BS,, plain and simple~!!!!

How about a 1SG in 3BDE 2ID getting caught telling new privates who were facing UCMJ to drop trouser and get naked in order to have their cases dissapear? Guess what happened to him? He's a MSG now, basically the same pay and less responsibility. He works at a desk, awaiting his selection for SGM Academy. If you don't understand military rank structrure, you would think that was a reprimand of sorts, but it's more like a vacation. That's how the military handles business, just letting you know.

not trying to stick up for these folk but could it be a virus type thing?

what i mean is that one might watch a little girl on girl and inadvertently have something dropped onto their hd?

the reason i say this is that if you surf /b/ for over an hour you (as the rumor goes) end up with some nasty thumbnails on your hd.

but if this does turn out to be as the thread title seems then hang them all i say.

Imagen that woman is screaming out her believe in the Government. We keep standing behind them, with this attitude.

Charles Chaplin is right in his speech from the Great dictator movie. All is lost.
Luckily i wont lose hope, cause i wont let their implemented system take me down.
But i feel bad, for what we do to ourself s. Consent consent, accept accept.

Read the IG report. It doesn't seem to be any virus and it is filled with admissions.

UPDATE:

P entagon vows action on porn cases

The Pentagon’s top investigator yesterday vowed an “all-out pursuit’’ of any employees who downloaded child pornography, adding that his division would review the 1,700 potential cases that were referred to military investigators four years ago but were never screened.

Gordon S. Heddell, the Department of Defense’s inspector general, said in a statement to the Globe that his office is working aggressively to correct the mishandling of cases identified in a multidepartment government probe called Operation Flicker.

“I can assure those with questions that my office is conducting an aggressive pursuit of anyone implicated in Operation Flicker and that it is a key investigative priority,’’ Heddell said in his first public statement on the matter.

I hope that is true. But what of the previous examples? Were they prosecuted?

What does it say that so many in the Pentagon were involved in the viewing and purchase of child pornography????

I'm almost speechless.

What makes me scratch my head is that on a news search, it appears only the Globe is touching this.

Where the hell is the est of the MSM on this? This story should be the scandal of the year, it did start last summer, and its crickets.

And the media isn't told what to report?

Just look around the world, it unfortunately happens. While those in power have covered it up and let it continue there would be no end to it. No one of the most powerful organisations in the world is addressing it. This is a warning to all the perverse leaders and people in power that the game is now up. Civilisation is returning,

Rank gets you privileges.

We had a E-9 that didn't want to be in our building so he bought a trailer to park outside and call his "office".
Everyone knew he was banging his secretary and eventually an O-5 from a different unit walked into his "office" and caught him feeding the tube snake to his secretary.

He was reassigned to sit in a useless position in Wing Command. Thus is how it all works.

YOU are paying that guy a lush retirement and all he did for most of his time in service was bang his secretary. Affirmative Action appointments are sooooooo successful.

And keep in mind people, this is 20% of Pentagon employees that they know about. This is a systemic issue which means it's a management issue, quite possibly involving hiring practices.

Child pornography/prostitution is not a new phenomena when it comes to Washington D.C. power circles. This has been going on for many decades and is documented. Just search it.

White House, 1989
Child Prostitution in Washington D.C. is common
DynCorp given $1 Billion contract AFTER caught trafficking children

It goes on and on and on...

I know! Why is that?

Why isn't this DOMINATING the news?

EDITED TO ADD:

Maybe it is because those institutions have a similar problem....

I'm shocked at all of this.

GOOD POINT~! and yes, it very well could happen. However, Net Admins KNOW what is being watched and downloaded ALL the time; the only thing is, are they being manipulated into allowing this to happen? If we could only be a fly on the wall.............

yes.. but we're talking purchasing Child Porn, ....in the military. I totally understand on letting those skate out being caught with their pants down, and where your coming from, but.............it's not about 'this is how it works," it's about our Mil/Gov. being ALLOWED to Purchase Child Porn

My first start......................thoroughly check out the Net Admins~!! You know with all the software that is now ripe with security measures since 9/11.

A glimmer of hope from the update. So...wait, let me get this straight, we went to war to free another country of a dictator and instill a democracy which would include, ensuring those that were being ABUSED, & MISTREATED could have a better life under the liberation force of the USA...................

Am I really missing something here ???? wow... i dunno, but, i seriously think if our Government does NOT stop being double minded and 2-faced..

Here is an Inspector General report providing details of the investigation.

The investigation was known as "Operation Flicker".

FAIR WARNING: This is a direct (.pdf) file from a US government military website:

What dept. would we as the general public contact in order to make sure everyone on the list is investigated and held accountable for their actions? They don't cut us breaks, why should we give them so much rope. If we can impeach a president we should have a definitive process to deal with this. Gov investigating gov is a farce, their needs to be an outside entity to keep them on the straight and narrow. I think it's time for us to start auditing them, not them auditing us, cut the red tape and deal with them as they deal with us. They should not be able to give us an answer and we go Ok have a niceday, nothing here, move along.
