It all looks to me - and I've seen a lot of it - like a guy that was fairly intelligent and political in his early 20s, who maybe just had his first doozy of a psychotic break.
Everything rolled right into his psychosis, and he was intelligent enough to stay functional to act on it, but he really does look - to me - like a newly born schizophrenic.

I think you nailed it. A high-functioning psychotic.

Rep Gifford was on Sarah Palin's Target list. Let's wait and see what this monster says.

You people blaming the Mexican cartels, and the random act of violence are afraid this may be what many of suspect it is a political assassination attempt by a Tea Party or Militia member.

Stop the hypocrisy let's wait for the facts, and the pieces will fall where they belong.

Look who's talking, you've already blamed Gov. Palin and the Tea Party. The primary reason that it does not look like a politically motivated shooting is that there were so many secondary targets that were hit. If this were politically motivated the targets would be very precise, there wouldn't be random people shot in the process. This guy was probably just an anti-gun nut job.

I just do not believe that Loughner
is Tea Party.

He has a flag burning video
on his youtube.

A TP would never do that.

They guy was pretty F'd up.... his taste in books and so on are not such an issue.
It's like when they tried blaming Marylin Manson for Columbine.....

FFS.

People are just crazy and sick and think sometimes that shooting people is good.

Did Fox also report that one of his listed favourite books on his youtube page is 'Mein Kampf'?

From his youtube page:
"Books:

Now there's a profile of a real right-winger there, ain't it?

Evidence is mounting that he was the opposite. I don't think its really relevant, as the guy was just a raving lunatic first and foremost, but it would largely serve to diffuse the political side of the incident in the coming days if it turns out that he had left wing political leanings.

I saw that too.

"One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest" fits him perfectly, no one in their right mind would do something like this.

I wish people would refrain from trying to attach a party label to any one incident, it shows the level depth or lack of depth that we find here on ATS frequently.

If it was "suicide by cop" then why are there reports that a getaway driver was arrested? Can anyone confirm the arrest of a second person?
