murrayledger.com

A phenomena resulting in thousands of dead birds reported mysteriously fallen dead from the sky in Arkansas and Louisiana last week may have also taken place in Murray.

Once again... a report of thousands of dead birds...

How many of these do we have to hear in the span of a week before it's no longer dismissed as crazy to think that something is behind them all?

Maybe it's a disease? Maybe it's the weather patterns? But something.. and whatever it is has caused this all over....

10pm local news (last night) said it was bad weather that killed all of them. They had a local vet and two guys from the local university say the same thing...

It's funny though that we have had some massive ass storms since I moved here 12 years ago..even a "inland hurricane" that swept through here may 8, 09 and we didn't have any dead animals falling from the skies or floating in our lakes and streams.......I call total BS on the weather crap.

One of the issues I have with this is that they have "ruled out poisoning as a cause".

There are so very many poisons, working in so many different ways, at so many different dosages, that it would take months at the very least to rule out every one.

Sometimes bad weather can just mean it being a little too cold at the wrong time of year, a wind being just a little too strong at the wrong time of year, or even it warming up enough for animals that would normally move elsewhere to settle in, and then it returns to normal (cold) temperatures and stuff dies.

Bad weather doesn't have to mean dramatic or even unpleasant weather, just a disruption of pattern.

Yep... because poison can lead to confusion which can lead to flying incorrectly and to being beat up...

That's like saying someone didn't die from a fall... they died from hitting the ground... and sure... but why did they fall to begin with!
