Who's to say that when we reach the 5th dimension we wont also have to feed off energy? Its all a big ecosystem I guess. Or perhaps its the "four and a half" (time travel technology) that need to absorb energy, as opposed to the higher-evolved (5th dimension) that live on planets in a higher realm and eat 5th dimensional critters like we eat chicken?
