This apparently state of the art technology is being used to hide a secret airbase aka S4 where they take UFOs to bits and study their machinery, as claimed by one man ever who had no financial incentive to do so. No siree.

Its amazing that a secret airbase can be hidden by some sketchy looking triangular frameworks of a roughly desert coloration that no doubt cast huge shadows when the sun is low. Oh and to hide an entire hangar complex you would need a billion of them.

This is part of a radar calibration array is located on Rosamond Dry Lake, north of Lancaster, California. It was established in the early 1990s for calibration of the NASA AIRSAR and SIR-C missions, as well as the Japanese JERS-1 synthetic aperture radar. It is composed of a set of calibration devices called "corner reflectors." These trihedral corner reflectors have a well-known radar backscatter at L-band wavelengths.

The reflectors are aligned East/West along the southern edge of the dry lakebed. There are two sets of reflectors: one set is oriented to be imaged by a radar flying at a heading of 170 degrees, and the other set is oriented to be imaged by a radar flying at a heading of 350 degrees. These orientations were chosen for space-borne radars that would be imaging the array. There are 13 reflectors on the 170-degree heading, and 10 on the 350-degree heading. The edge of each side of the corner reflector is 2.4m long.

not really realted to the thread,,,, but s4 has become slang, it does not relate to s-4 (which you are absolutly correct on). s4 is supposed to be site 4 not s4 or s-4. at that level it is very compartmentalized and site 4 may not be aware of site 5 which ran by a different government group for example.
