Hawaiian governor wants to put president's birth debate to rest.




I just thought to poke a dead horse one more time and post this, this came up on December 30, 2010 and is from FOX News.

What's fun is going to see what FOX News fans who also believe that Obama is some Kenyan born charlatan will say about this.

Even FOX News doesn't believe this nonsense.

But the new Hawaiian governor wants to settle this once and for all, personally I think it's a political ploy to make the GOP look bad. I don't think that he should mess with this dead horse. But if he wants to, I guess he could have asked the POTUS when he was in Hawaii. But I really don't see the point.

edit to add, yeah the debate will end when Obama attempts to run in 4 states that are requiring evidence of eligibility. Wonder if the fact that having one parent not a US citizen, does not allot him the status of Natural Born Citizen. Oh well, would that not be a hoot. I am sure the argument will become then, that anyone should be able to be president, even Putin.

Please show me the component that redefined "Natural Born Citizen". It would be an interesting evaluation.

This is my whole evaluation of the Birther issue, it was created to sidestep the VERY relevant issue that even if Obama was born in Hawaii, he does not meet the Natural Born Citizen component of the Constitution. So you can bloviate all you want about it, come 2012 the issue will be addressed, or Obama will not make it onto several states ballots. How bout them apples.

The birther movement, dare I say, is akin to the Moon landing (I just flinched)
Regardless of the "proof" regardless of the "evidence" it will never be resolved.

Some in government may enjoy and use that, others, well, I'll bet there are others that know the truth, whatever it may be.

Not even FOX News believes the birthers. Cmon, FOX News hates Obama and everything that this president stands for. And they don't even buy this birther nonsense.

I just thought I would bring you the FOX News perspective on the subject. I do believe that the purpose of the Hawaii Governor in doing this now is just to stir up a hornets nest among the GOP and make conservatives look bad.

The really tiresome thing is that there is obviously a problem here.
Why the man just didn't release a copy of a certified birth certificate from the beginning is baffling.
It is a common document that all American citizens, if they do not possess, can readily obtain, and require for practically any official thing (driver's license, marriage, etc...)

The veil of mystery surrounding this whole fiasco furthers the entire premise that one truly does not exist.

And if so, he should not be the President of the United States as per our Constitution. Period.

Why such a friggin' debate? Why do we always have to make such mountains out of these matters?

I'm not actually debating anything in this thread really, I just wanted to present the latest in this sad weak conspiracy. Thought it might be interesting. I personally just think it's a political tactic by the Governor to bring out the worst in the TEA Party and the GOP.

I wonder if he is right?

I'm sorry. Speculation on a blog proves nothing. Here's what Okubo actually said that your blogs twisted to suit their agenda:



The Hawaii Department of Health receives about a dozen e-mail inquiries a day about Obama's birth certificate, spokesman Okubo said.

"I guess the big issue that's being raised is the lack of an embossed seal and a signature," Okubo said, pointing out that in Hawaii, both those things are on the back of the document. "Because they scanned the front … you wouldn't see those things."

Okubo says she got a copy of her own birth certificate last year and it is identical to the Obama one we received.
