At risk of sounding like a broken record around here that all sounds exactly like what we experienced in Maryland this past summer. We had a quake roughly the same size with similar sounds and it was also in the early morning while some people were still asleep and startled from their beds. We are also a relatively quiet area seismically speaking and with little to our region to indicate we would be having a quake when we did. I would normally dismiss our quake as a completely insignificant event if not for the reports of quakes like it popping up where they had no reason to be expected and all within a few months of each other. I'm not one to freak out in a doom and gloom mind frame but I am watching with greater interest to see how this all plays out. Are we leading up to one large event, a series of mid size events, or are these all part of a series of minor adjustments in the wake of the massive quakes of the past few years? only time will tell.
