Is there any known material that can withstand a neutron barrage, of will it take anything known to us down?

Nothing really, though Soviet tanks had inner liners made of deuterated paraffin (all hydrogens in the hydrocarbons replaced by deuterium). This was intended to absorb some of the neutrons from a tactical nuclear weapon, e.g. enhanced radiation ("neutron bombs").
