The health care bill would do nothing to improve health care. Health care is "broken." It will remain broken until Big Pharma releases its death grip on health care. It will remain broken until mainstream doctors really "get" what health care is. It's not about popping pills and the most expensive invasive procedure. It about prevention, nutrition, supplements and treating ailments with natural and safe approaches, where possible. This is a reason why it is so obscenely expensive. Until the health care system really cares about health in general, I really don't want much to do with it.

I don't mind giving some money for the common good when I can, I just don't want to be forced into insurance slavery. And, if I, for some reason should decide I need insurance, I want to decide. As it is, I don't need it.

I know people fall through the cracks sometimes, but this is a country where you should be earning you income. I know people who are labeled as "disabled" by a psychiatrist, when I know damn well they aren't disabled. Who pays for stuff like that? The taxpayers. Welfare, and stuff like that should not be a permanent solution for most people. Get back on your feet and let's work to rebuild this country. If businesses are shutting down, that is our cue to start our own businesses.

I know there are some people that can't help it, these folks obviously need help. So, obviously there should be some kind of fund for these folks. But, forcing insurance on us, whether we need it or not doesn't fix anything. How about we work on what "is" important, and fix the system. Then, health care can actually start becoming affordable in many cases. Let's stop focusing on surgery, when the condition can be handled better and safer through other means.

What they are protesting was something that has been ruled against the constitution. Government can not mandate you buy goods or services.

What about social security, medicare and medicaid? HOW can they mandate those? Are they not goods/services "forced" upon the nation?

I find it ironic in a very bad sense that thousands of sheeple are willing to protest about nationalised healthcare(NOT free) which could have given millions of lower middle class americans affordable healthcare YET they choose to believe the right-wing CORPORATE "endless waiting lines" BS that has been spewed for decades.

Now don't get me wrong, the quality of service may go down a bit since greed is the #1 motivating factor of a capitalist system, but who the hell should care if this happens if 30% of the population can't even afford basic coverage? Do you see my point?! In many european countries with nationalised healthcare I have heard many bad things such as government allowing&wanting national healthcare TO FAIL so they can have an excuse to privatise that industry. America has always valued monopoly capitalism while europeans are starting to accept the same under the guise of "if its public...it always fails"...talk about a conspiracy!

And what do europeans protest for? Granted things run much smoother there but having to part with 40%-60% of your income to taxation still leaves a lot to be desired imo, especially given the fact that no country can balance the books. Where does the cash go to? To pay interest on governmental bonds???

Greece, ireland, italy, portugal and probably france have huge debt problems...maybe as bad as argentina that collapsed a few decades ago! If the government cannot issue all the money it needs then we have pseudo-socialism which will eventually evolve to american monopoly capitalism. Paying interest in the form of taxation is called usury!

We can get all the insurance in the world, even at great prices, and it doesn't fix the fundamental problem with the health care system. It is largely "not" health care. One of the largest conspiracies on planet earth is the health care system with its ties to Big Pharma, and the use of highly expensive procedures that aren't always needed.

I do not want health insurance, because I would not be using it to any extent. I would just be throwing a big chunk of money into a hole. I take care of myself, and it has worked out wonderfully. I'm not really accident prone. In the rare event that I need a broken bone set, then I'll go, and work out payment from there.

As far as the march in Washington, it was about more than health care. And, those numbers come from different sources. I saw mention of 800,000 or so for an inauguration amount. How much space would that take up? I'm sure a million might well be held in those areas, granted a number like 800,000 could be held there for an inauguration. I don't know the exact number, but we know the news media has been known to lie. And, that was one heck of a lot of people.

And oh mainstream media is part of the machine and they get huge kickbacks from those very same companies. Can I prove it? I could but its beyond obvious!!!!

Absolutely, corporations, Big Pharma, the Media, and the FED have something to do the scheme of things. It's a terrible state of affairs. We have to get away from that.

But, I do not support being forced into health insurance. That's why I support the march. I think the people were marching for their freedom. It shows me people do still care about freedom. If I were to have to pay insurance right now, it would be a complete burden. It would be money I would prefer to put toward something more useful to myself. I don't have the extra cash anyway at this point and time.

Really and truly, fix the health care system, and things will get better, and it would be a more honest system. We do have doctors that are involved in the natural movement. It is a cheaper system, and makes more sense.
