I think we forget all the old terms our grandparents and elders use to use.They were so meaningful and full of flavor.A few of my favorites were chomping at the bit, the term icebox instead of a refrigerator,im fixin to go to the store.I would love to hear some other old sayings that bring back some memories or allow me to hear some fresh sayings.

My late Grandfather was an amazing man who continues to be an inspiration to me.
He used to say "You'll see it when you believe it"
Think about that for a minute..

There's a really good book with that title.

My husband loves to use old phrases.
He cracks me up all the time!

I don't hold truck with that. (I don't approve of that)
I don't know but what I might go to the store. (I think I might go to the store.)
