Now, I'm not claiming this is what happened. In fact, I highly doubt that this is what happened. However, it is a possibility.

Great School! What about the beginnings of an axis flip? Have not seen that one yet. Just my contribution of craziness.

You might be onto something. I can see how being sucked by a tornado would be traumatic. Of all the possible explanations they could have come up with "frightened by fireworks" seems the most far fetched.

As explained by wikipedia:

The Big Lie (German: Große Lüge) is a propaganda technique. The expression was coined by Adolf Hitler, when he dictated his 1925 book Mein Kampf, for a lie so "colossal" that no one would believe that someone "could have the impudence to distort the truth so infamously."

I believe we are seeing this technique used to an extent never before seen. From Biden - "We Have To Spend Money To Keep From Going Bankrupt" and Pelosi - "we must first pass the bill so we can find out what's in it" & "unemployment benefits are creating jobs faster than practically any other program". Throw in everything barry, bernanke, geithner and big sis say and it seems amazing to me that anyone still believes anything anyone in the government has to say.

I sure do not believe fireworks did this.

I have shot fireworks for years. Not one bird EVER have

I had seen fall dead by fireworks.. I have shot fireworks off in the day

and in the night... I have seen birds fly off never die... Not on a scale of THOUSANDS

to say that is a stretch..

My opinion maybe they got poisoned one way or the other somehow.

So how does that explain all the other thousands of dead birds falling from the sky in other parts of the country including Canada and South America?

has this been discussed?

I don't know how reliable this is but I found it interesting.

Wheeler’s military career included writing one of the most important manuals on the effectiveness of biological and chemical weapons which led to his being hired in 2009 as a consultant to the Mitre Corporation, whose aviation system development department, the GRU reports, is at the forefront of creating the computer command and control systems used by the U.S. Air Force in their fleet of aerial spraying planes.

These aerial spraying planes, this report continues, are based at the Little Rock Air Force Base in Arkansas that over the past few months have been involved with ‘test dispersants’ of poisonous gasses in the Afghanistan War Theater using chemical weapons stocks obtained from Iraq and held at the Pine Bluff Arsenal, also located in Arkansas.
Important to note about the Pine Bluff Arsenal, which calls itself “America’s Arsenal“, is that it is one of the World’s most specialized munitions and chemical-biological defense products and services bases which Russia had previously accused of not fully reporting the chemical agents removed from Iraq, between 2003 and 2008, and taken to the U.S. for testing and subsequent destruction.

This makes sense but why only the fish/birds found dead then? Why wouldn't other animals and even people people be effected by the methane?

The blunt trauma reported on the bird is most likely from the fall itself, If I were to fall out of the sky and hit the ground, I'm sure I would be pretty ding up/broken bones etc. Trauma to the breast I would say is how the bird landed falling from the sky. Kind of a head first/breast.

If these birds were killed by "fireworks" like the stories are now suggesting.... then this would have happened every New Years there as the stories also state that residents set off a massive amount of fireworks every New Years.

Why was this New Years different than any other?

a possible cause

3M discharged cancer-causing chemicals in Mississippi River

The Minnesota attorney attorney general filed a lawsuit Thursday demanding that the 3M Co. pay to clean up contaminated water in three counties, alleging that the company discharged cancer-causing chemicals in the Mississippi River.

While the lawsuit did not ask for a specific dollar amount, potential damages could run in the tens of millions of dollars.

The state alleges that landfills used by 3M to store perfluorochemicals (PFCs) for decades have leaked into the Mississippi River and drinking water across the east-metro area.

PFCs, which do not occur in nature, accumulate in animals, fish and people and do not decompose. High levels of PFCs are known to cause cancer.

just thought I'd share

maybe the chemicals made them sick
and died from the fall

The simple answer is they are the canaries in the coal mine.

The fish live where a dense gas would condense. Drum are a bottom feeding fish.

The birds show signs of gas poisioning at very low amounts.

The gas levels were not high enough to cause widespread death and illness.

You've probably breathed in more concentrated gas in a garage.

But we aren't birds or fish and can't survive a higher level of contaminated air. And at 10:30 pm, most people were indoors. The fish were affected directly. The birds were probably poisoned when they drank at their watering stations on their way to the roost. The occurance may have happened at this time of night because they were arriving home late. Staggering home. They have a common nightly roost. Desperate to get home the struggled as best they could and were panicked- flying in every direction. Smashing into each other. Dying of exhaustion, stress and impact injuries.

All explainable.

That would be a valid explanation if not for the fact that only two specific species were affected. Birds have been dying all over the US, that explanation doesn't really bode well with me if such is the case.

I have a fealing the birds got caught in a super cell(hail storm) or a tornado that disipated shortly after. If I remember correctly the south was experiencing some bad weather at that time. Seems like the only logical explanation.

I cannot explain the fish, especially since they are a very hardy fish and no others were affected.

When I first read the story though it made me think of a giant cloaked ufo that they flew into

If you are talking about the birds found in Kentucky and in Labarre Louisiana, they were birds from the same flock in Beebe. After the mass panic which killed the birds in Beebe, the other birds feared a disease in the many body of the roost and scattered in all directions to escape the danger.

Chemistry is not my strong suit. I think it was methane. When methane ruptures from a waterbody, it gives of CO2.

We can't rule out the earthquakes. Because it's what has caused the gas migration in the shale formations. I'm not very good when it comes to graphics and posting visuals. But if someone is inclined, could you post a map with the fish kills, the bird kills, and the swarm earthquake locations. You will notice the fall in a line and they all occur on the Fayetteville Shale Formation. Just for fun, show all gas drilling in relation.

The media must think us folks are just STOOOOPID to believe their bunk explanations for it!

First off there were fireworks all over the world so why just this location in beebe arkansas did the birds fall surely they weren't the only town to have fireworks for New Years!

The number on cnn was 1000 and on another news channel it was 2000.
These people love to muck things up to confuse us.

No 2k birds died of cardiac arrest. It was chemical related, there was poisons in the sky in that area because fish died 125m. The only possible conspiracy explanation was that they were 'spraying' barium or whatever else these aholes have that come out of their planes.

Here's a map of the LA,KY and AK bird deaths. I could see how you would say the locations are near enough for perhaps a few birds to survive but die later, but the data doesn't show that. Thousands of birds die all at the same time, there weren't any birds that died maybe 50 miles or 25 miles away, no this was spontaneous. These deaths are 100's of miles apart. To go from dying so suddenly with a few birds which survive another 100 miles then die (also presumably all at the same time also) there is a flaw in your logic.

I have to say this might be the third sign of the end of days, just reading some things from the bible, that this is a quote from the book of revelations. Here are few well-known mentions about birds, in reference to the end of the world, from the Bible:

Ezekiel 38:20

The fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the beasts of the field, every creature that moves along the ground, and all the people on the face of the earth will tremble at my presence. The mountains will be overturned, the cliffs will crumble and every wall will fall to the ground.
Also it also states that Jesus mentions that earthquakes will happen in diverse places, places that are not well know for having quakes.Makes you wonder what is really going on now

I just made a list of where unusual deaths of birds and fish were reported.

Winnipeg Manitoba, Canada.
Beebe Arkansas
New Roads, Louisiana
Tortori, Japan
Gilbertsville, Kentucky
Western Australia

I hope I didn't forget any.

I've been following this story since it happened. I am wondering why the booms were not mentioned in the initial reporting. I mean, if they were as loud as the vet said they were, don't you think the other residents would have mentioned them at first. It just does not feel right to me. I'm not saying they didn't happen. People report booming noises all the time before earthquakes. Perhaps it is another sign the New Madrid or one of its many sister faults is waking up. I live in TN so this is extremely important to me.

Secondly, I have raised fish all my life. They are extremely susceptible to noises (even banging on the side of the aquarium with your fingers can hurt them), PH and pressure changes. It would be interesting to look at the fishes' swim bladders to see if they were damaged.

Thirdly, my daughter was online with a friend from Arkansas around that time and her friend lost the internet for a bit. I'm thinking magnetism might have come into play there.

And finally, over time, the news reports are saying it was more than one species of fish and bird. That actually makes more sense if this is a natural event than if it was just one species.

I really wish we had someone from there to tell us what is really going on. It is always better to have someone at the source rather than depend on the MSM.

It was suggested that many drums of phosgene the USA "sold" to Saddam was supposed to had been destroyed but instead flown back to the USA and buried in Arkansas. It is alleged the US military dug it up and was planning on flying it over to Afghanistan to bury it there when the aircraft malfunctioned not once but twice and released much of the poisonous phosgene gas over Arkansas skies hence killing every bird in it's path. John Wheeler was about to lift the lid off the operation and was murdered for it.

It's obvious that whoever murdered John Wheeler knew him personally and professionally.
