This was at the time of the comet. I got too ahead of myself.
On another note, the Sun has shot out several earth-bound CMEs amidst a developing coronal hole in the past 24 hours, one of which is confirmed to be
a mid range M-class. The 28th to the 30th should be interesting.
Fox News picked up the story.
CME heading our way but ......
Speed is slower than the Carrington Event.
According to Wikipedia, it only took 18 hours for the Carrington CME to reach the Earth.
When you read the article, you will see more - glancing- taking place.
I predict the glancing to continue until the magnetic poles flip around the month of February 2012.
------------
Spaceweather shows a direct hit on Mars but the CME comes close to Earth.
The animated GIF reveals the truth.
