I was going back over an old 2010 post talking about the inaccuracies of the original HIV hypothesis and how the 'money machine' may have pushed forward a misdiagnosis of AIDS and discovered this interesting KGB intelligence program during some Google searches.

Operation INFEKTION was a KGB operation to spread disinformation about the US spreading AIDS throughout the world intentionally. Apparently, the operation started soon after the discovery of AIDS in the early eighties when mystery surrounded its origin. Soviet disinformation specialists used the situation to fuel rumours that it was an American biological weapon. In 1992, Russian Prime Minister Yevgeni Primakov admitted that the KGB were responsible.

In March 1992, then-Russian intelligence chief and later Russian Prime Minister Yevgeni Primakov admitted that the disinformation service of the Soviet KGB had concocted the false story that the AIDS virus had been created in a US military laboratory as a biological weapon. The Russian newspaper Izvestiya reported on March 19, 1992: [Primakov] mentioned the well known articles printed a few years ago in our central newspapers about AIDS supposedly originating from secret Pentagon laboratories. According to Yevgeni Primakov, the articles exposing US scientists' 'crafty' plots were fabricated in KGB offices.

So if both countries are controlled by the same financier, could this just be a way of cleaning up after a few whistleblowers spill the beans?

I thought Apartheid created HIV/AIDS to kill out blacks.

There really is a conspiracy like that.

He's name was Dr.Wouter Basson. He was part of South Africa's Chemical and Boilogical warfare program. Some believe he is also responsible for the virus. He was working with a former SS doctor.

Don't know if it's true or not but here are some links if you're interested

Thanks. I head about that guy during a documentary about David Kelly - the bio-weapons scientist who was killed in the lead-up to the Iraq war. Kelly had been involved in dismantling the chemical and biological weapons program in South Africa.

I don't know much about Kelly but it's a pretty interesting theory considering some believe HIV/AIDS originated from Africa.

Wouldn't put it past them to create a virus like that and not admit they made a blunder by creating something they cannot control.

Anyz,I'll do some research on Kelly. Thanks for mentioning it.

What I find interesting about the explosion of AIDS in the early eighties is how quick and sure the American government was to put forward and maintain the HIV hypothesis. A hypothesis that wasn't even peer reviewed when the first statements about HIV causing AIDS was made.

You also have to remember that there was a lot of soviet activity in Africa back in the 80's,too.

The border war in Namibia was mainly due to them. They were backing political groups in Angola trying to spill it's revolutionary ideas across into Namibia.

A lot of Cubans and Russians came to Africa to fight and spread communism.Unfortunately they lost that war but the communist ideology never died.We still have a political group here that still uses the old Soviet hammer and sickle.

Strange though.Wouldn't put it past them trying to spread such rumours.

Think there were just as many Americans here back than.I know a lot of your special forces units trained here and there probably was a lot of CIA presence here.

I find it interesting, though.I think a lot of cover ups went on here and I know America played a big role in it.

To add some conspiratorial fuel to the fire (and because you brought up a South African connection), one of the leading proponents against HIV causing AIDS, Peter Duesberg, was involved in a South African Advisory Panel discussing alternative approaches to dealing with AIDS.

In 2000, Duesberg was the most prominent AIDS denialist to sit on a 44-member Presidential Advisory Panel on HIV and AIDS convened by then-President Thabo Mbeki of South Africa.[37] The panel was scheduled to meet concurrently with the 2000 International AIDS Conference in Durban and to convey the impression that Mbeki's doubts about HIV/AIDS science were valid and actively discussed in the scientific community.[13] The views of the denialists on the panel, aired during the AIDS conference, received renewed attention.[38] Mbeki later suffered substantial political fallout for his support for AIDS denialism[39][40] and for opposing the treatment of pregnant HIV-positive South African women with antiretroviral medication.[41] Mbeki partly attenuated his ties with denialists in 2002, asking them to stop associating their names with his.[42] In response to the inclusion of AIDS denialists on Mbeki's panel, the Durban declaration was drafted and signed by over 5,000 scientists and physicians, describing the evidence that HIV causes AIDS as "clear-cut, exhaustive and unambiguous."[43]

The HIV hypothesis didn't come from America. It was French scientists at the Institute Pasteur who first found the new virus and connected it with AIDS, although they called it LAV for lymphadenopathy-associated virus. A CDC task force had named the desease later called AIDS Kaposi’s Sarcoma and Opportunistic Infections (KSOI) and an American , Robert Gallo, claimed to have found HIV, but he was following the French trail.
So the first statements about the cause of AIDS didn't mention HIV. They talked about LAV and HLTV-III, the name Gallo used.

Yes, I was aware of that and the diplomatic situation was quelled by France and America agreeing to share profits derived from the HIV blood tests. However, the HIV/AIDS story just doesn't add up. No peer review, no studies in the correlation of lifestyle to people developing AIDS, the toxicity of AZT. The questions keep mounting and remain unanswered.

Here is something I posted in the "AIDS is a man made virus !" thread.

Back in the late 70's and early 80's, my friend Joe and I used to collect information on end times subjects. Any political WW-III theories or new military weapons that pointed to the "end" were subjects of interest to both of us. Having only newspaper reports and TV news broadcasts at the time we sometimes saved newspaper articles and showed them to each other.

One day in the summer of 1978 or 1979 he showed me an article in the science section of either the Detroit News, the Detroit Free Press (separate papers at the time) or possibly the Macomb Daily (a Macomb County local daily) that was entitled "Killer Cell" and had a line drawn picture of a spherical, virus looking, cell with the article. What the article actually said was that it was a biological weapon developed by the U.S. military. It said it was an engineered virus that attacked the human T-cell (or killer cell) allowing the virus to disable the immune system. The lowered immunity would then allow other diseases to take over the body and kill the person infected by the engineered virus.

Do I have this article? No, I don't know what became of it. Does Joe have it any more? I doubt it as the last time I saw him he was a derelict drunk living with a crack-ho making a living scraping junk around Detroit. Is it possible to locate this article in the newspaper's archives? Probably not for long after this post. Maybe someone has or remembers this newspaper article or one like it?

I mean think about it.

It is essentially the same thing that is going on in the US---"the left" vs "the right"

Meanwhile the rulers are in the shadows (or so they think)

There is no russia vs usa or even china vs usa if you can fathom it.

There is just money.
