In times of austerity the President ought to set a better example. I'm sure we all know a family slaving away on minimum wage and struggling to get by (I have friends in Oregon in exactly that position). It's so unfair on them that the President (and all the rest) are milking the system dry. Instead, they should be held to account for every dollar spent in their name.

That being said, US debt is so monstrous that this is just a drop in an ocean, it matters not a jot. The money spent on this trip isn't even real anyway, we're kidding ourselves if we think it is.

The total cost for the housing for the secret service is $17K. How much cheaper would it have been on base? How much could he have really saved on security? Out of 1.5 million, the biggest chunk of money was Obama's round trip ($1 Mil) and he takes trips all the time. It's part of his job. You're complaining about $17K.

He was talking about bank CEOs. Obama is not a bank CEO.

Besides, we pay his salary. He works for us. If he wants to take a vacation to Hawaii, that's part of the deal.

This asshat has taken more vacations in the past two years than I have ever taken in my entire life. Worse yet, this asshat has spent more on those vacations than my wife and I will ever earn in an entire lifetime. Even worse yet, the whole of the economy is crumbling around us and he is too busy partying in the WH or taking vacations to do a damned thing about it.

I truly HATE this asshat and cannot wait until he is gone from the WH!!!

I apply myself every day. I have no desire to associate with a den of snakes and thieves like the senate. Further, I have never had the desire to have the NWO operators hand up my arse and be their puppet as President. And finally, I could've easily attended an Ivy League school, as I had the grades for it. I opted to avoid the those socialist indoctrination academies and attended a much smaller institution that taught actual critical thinking skills. So, no thank you.

But back to President Asshat, if he and his wookie wife aren't hosting glamorous bashes in the WH, they are on vacation. It is quite sickening! The guy is COMPLETELY worthless!

So, other than your assertion that the President is not entitled to take as many 'vacations' as he does (how many of those are working vacations, I wonder; he takes his office everywhere) your only substantial claim is that the President should have saved a few thousand bucks. You are nickel-and-diming!

You responded with a one-liner saying "Obama love is stronger than any logic." Who has made the more substantial comment here? (Hint: It is not the post that contains nothing more than a snotty remark).

This most recent trip is the like 3rd or 4th on record for Obama. IOf this was 43 he'd already be on his like 20th vacation. Obama unlike 43 spends at least 325 days a year at work so to try and cut down this means you have some screws loose and really need psychological help.

Anywhere the President travels guess what, the taxpayers are on the till for it.

2 weeks in Hawaii cost 1.5 Million for the whitehouse and secret service etc.

Hmmm..How much does it cost for the POTUS and family to stay at the white house for two weeks? add up the security, secret service, supporting staff, utilities, overhead etc. for that and then I will start to examine the numbers in earnest and do some comparisons.

Because absent that it seems to me you are whining about how expensive it is to simply be "The President of United States" in Hawaii or anywhere.

And a discussion about whether the USA can afford to have a POTUS would seem more relevant and honest, although more boring and certainly wouldn't support your themed agenda.

It seems a rather silly and dishonest complaint when a moment is taken to actually "think".

So lets put this in perspective here for all the Obamonites who cannot wait to get the next dose of kool Aid. Would a true ships captain leave at every chance when their boat was sinking? or synopsis #2 would not your mother or father tend to your needs if you had cancer and where falling apart?

So to put it in perspective here, the Potus and his job is to work for the people, i see nothing that this man has done, but make a mockery of the U.S constitution and to make his positon of power more like who wants to marry a bachelor

If the president does not take vacations then his brain will catch fire. How can he handle his duties after having a mental breakdown?

Unless you think you can handle all of these crises better than the President, without taking any breaks whatsoever?
