From one of my favorite authors, a former citizen of the USSR, just a couple questions for you to answer.

Like socratic questions, how bout answering these, if you dare?

Question Insanity: What to Ask Progressives

My addition to the questions-

If you hated Bush soooo much-
Why would you give more POWER to the very government that someone like him, could become in power again, hell his brother Jeb is thinking of running.

Hmmmmm?

OK, I can't really believe that I'm even waisting my time with this thread but I have to admit that you suckered me in, so here goes.

First, I have to state that MMP12 and yourself really shouldn't expect logical answers to the questions posed as most of the questions themselves are illogical, or at best somewhat satirical in nature. Almost sounds like they were posed by Stephen Colbert.

Anyway here's my answers to the questions presented in the OP in the order they were presented.

1.) Cannibalism is not a "culture" in itself but rather it's a deviant behavior practiced by some within a particular culture.
2.) We indeed have been attempting to demand "equal pay for little or no work" for quite some time. Why do you think that we are for reducing CEO compensation and bonuses? Answer; Because they do "little or no work."
3.) The repeal of "Don't ask, don't tell" is an issue that Barak Obama ran on that will improve the lives of gays in the military which is an institution predominately male in nature. Is this what you're talking about?
4.) All beliefs are NOT equally valid. Example; The belief that the world was flat was not valid.
5.) No I haven't noticed that.
6.) Hate speech is never the truth.
7.) No it is not a conflict of interest. The poor that have been lifted from poverty will remember those who came to their aid as well as those who did not. I'm sure they will vote accordingly.

Last, but not least; It is my belief that it will be a cold day in hell before another Bush gets elected to lead this country. I could be wrong but I hope I'm right.

Some of you yanks really have been brainwashed beyond repair with your stances on Socialism. I really cant wait for Sarah Palin to be POTUS so you can all shut up about Socialism and spend you days telling us how great corporate America is under your new "wacky " leader.

I'll stop you right there.

Know anyone that belongs to a union?

I do and can tell you plenty of first-hand accounts of what I call "shuffling about" to make it appear as if they are working, but really are not - for equal pay.

The downside to unions is that the most productive are punished, and the least productive are rewarded. Of course, that's preferable to the downside of non-unionized big business, which just exploits the hell out of everyone below upper management regardless of performance, creating a revolving door of employees (ultimately benefiting the bottom line, of course), also occasionally supporting some form of nepotism.

The best option is non-unionized small business. Talent and intelligence are recognized and performance is rewarded. Because of the small scale, one great employee can make a serious difference and since the business owner's life is often on the line, that one employee will be treated properly.

These 'questions' are infantile and moronic.
They have no basis in reality, they do nothing but clearly illustrate your inability to understand any of the political terms you are using.
Seriously ,pick up a book...seek education....Turn off Beck...

Wrong. Again.

The questions are based in historical fact and, if you would take the time to read through the entirety of these posts, you will see the facts presented in a very clear manner so that even readers with only elementary school educations could understand them.

I don't own a television. I don't watch "Beck."

A simile, for your edification:

"Minds are like parachutes...they only work when they are open."

Try opening your mind to facts and reality-based concepts - Your perspective tends to change. You don't tend to slam into the hard ground of reality as often.

That's not true.

My mother worked for one of the few non-union casinos in Vegas. She was provided with some of the best benefits in the whole country and was awarded several raises and promotions based on her performance over a period of 10 years. She was never mistreated, she was never discriminated against, and the people who didn't work and didn't produce were fired to make room for people who will. I've only ever worked non-union and have never been "exploited".

If you want your money(dues) paying for someone else to be lazy, cool, but I'd rather my money reward me for the work I put in.

I will respond to this simple falsehood again. Read carefully. Then read again.

No one has answered these questions. More specifically, no one has formulated an answer that is honest and addresses the substance of the issues presented. The only legitimate answers to ANY of the questions posed is a very simple: "I didn't know that" or "I don't know the answer to that question."

The reasons that an "I didn't know that" or an "I don't know the answer to that" response are the only possible legit answers are as follows:

1) Most "progressives" have no idea about or conception of the history of the ideology they support. They are clueless. The democrat party is based in racism, hate, and elitism that sought to trample the rights of others. The "progressive" agenda has been a masterfully crafted psychological operation that has duped millions. Your rank and file progressive, if he understood this, would run screaming from the poison ideology he supports.

2) Any response other than "I didn't know" requires "deconstruction". Deconstruction of these questions implies that the respondent is denying reality, is glossing over the brutality of the true progressive agenda through distraction and denial, and is PERPETUATING "LIBERAL" LIES IN A CONSCIOUS AND DELIBERATE WAY.

The facts are clear and undeniable. Liberals/Progressives and their desires to control others are at the heart of every anti-human act in modern history. Eugenics, Nazism, Communism, genocide, genetic poverty, chronic underclasses, statism and racism lies at the feet of the progressive

Minds are like parachutes...they only work when they are open.

Open your minds, people.

While I may agree with your points I don't agree with your approach.

You talk about facts but I've seen you obfuscate your facts with snide quips
the same snide quips the "other side" send down range to you.

You attract more flies with honey...as they say.

Can you point out what snide quips you are referring to?

Are they any more "snide" than those posted by others who are on the other side of the debate?

I can speculate as to what your responses will be, and to that I can only say that sometimes the truth hurts.

Thanks.

1. You don't need examples if you know you're being just as snide as the other side of the coin, sir.

2. If you want this debate to continue down this road of tit-for-tat ad hom then please, by all means, keep doing what you're doing.

It may not get as many stars and flags, god knows my threads and posts are largely ignored, and even though I indict the progressive movement for what it is, I don't feel the need to be snarky about it.

The problem with many Top Progressives is that they think anyone who doesn't think like them is dumb. If you show that same attitude you've accomplished nothing but a more smug society in the end.

Heated debates are one thing, hell I live for it. But you have to respect the intelligence of your fellow man, ESPECIALLY if he is opposed to everything you stand for.

I am going to continue this thread by again presenting more facts and concepts for consideration...

NAZI is an acronym for Nationalsozialismus, which translates into English as "National Socialism". The socialist party and the democratic party are, in the u.s., one and the same - very much like Hitler's political, ideological military and paramilitary structures.

In many respects, modern democrats and the fascists of the last century have most of the same tenets. Barack obama's actions with regards to nationalization of the car, medical, banking and education industries are textbook fascist, and are a good example of this fact.

Moreover, if you study political ideologies, "right-wing" and "left wing" are passe and hackneyed terms that are meaningless. What you might consider hardcore "rightists" and hardcore "leftists" are best characterized as "statists" A statist believes that an elite group of leaders should rule the populace. Adolph Hitler was a statist. Josef Stalin was a statist. Barack Obama is a statist. To a much lesser extent, G W Bush was a statist. However, he was nowhere near as hardcore as Hitler or Obama.

If you are interested in this stuff, read Mark Levin's excellent "Liberty versus Tyranny." It is a seminal work on the lies the statist/liberal tells to maintain power over his fellow man.

Thanks for reading.

Thanks for your reply.

To your credit, you at least acknowledged that "the other side" uses invective, ad hominem and "snide/snarky" replies.

In terms of "respecting" the intelligence and position of those on "the other side", I will not. I don't respect fascists, I don't respect klan members, I don't respect people who, either knowingly or unknowingly, support and propagate the mindset and world-view of fascists and statist "progressives".

I don't care how unpopular I might be, I don't care about how many stars and flags I don't get, I don't care about presenting myself as a "diplomatic" or respectful when I am arguing with people who are too blindsided by progressive propaganda to know they are causing actual material harm to other people and other nations.

The stakes in these kinds of discussions have become too high. These people have done enough damage to the world to soft-pedal responses to them.

I am under no illusions that I am going to change these peoples' minds. They, for the largest part, are lost souls. I can, however, put the truth out there in a manner that combats their invective and hate, and does not get drowned out by the typical lies and distraction that these people vomit when their backs are against the wall.

I would encourage you and others here to reconsider trying to change these peoples' minds as well. They will not be changed. What we can do is present facts and reality in such a way that lets someone "on the fence" or actually has an open mind understand that there are people out there willing to fight in a vigorous and spirited way about just ideas and honesty.

Thanks again.

Most of these people aren't Klan members, or racists, they're just people who have been lied to. I felt the same way with neo-cons(the progressive right) when they started taking us to war in contravention of everything Bush said in his campaign..(Respect the Constitution, no nation building, non-intervention, fiscal conservatism)

But I was 16, and bought that crap.

They're good people who mean well and buy into the "Social Justice" moniker because, in the ideal world envisioned, everything is equitable, and fairness has been achieved. They just don't understand the mechanics of it, they may not know the history of it. That and people who use the term "Progressive" think it means progress, when in fact, the people who coined the term as a social and political philosophy, are all about elitism.

Empathy, my friend, seems to be working for me.

The American right has rebranded all of the 20th century's great evils in order to mask its true agenda of turning the US into a one party dictatorial theocratic democracy. "Citizens United" has basically laid the groundwork for fascist governance with the corporations controlling policy, who gets elected, and governance.

So to my right wing forum members, I have a few questions as well:

1) What makes you believe that America was founded as a Christian nation- when its founders were clear that their intent was to create a nation that accepted all religions and even those who did not ascribe to a religion?

2) What is so "conservative" about funding two endless wars where there are no clear political or military benchmarks for victory, including one in Iraq that was entirely by choice which was alleged to be paid off with Iraqi oil proceeds- but is now contracting its oil production out to China, our biggest economic rival? Furthermore, why charge up the nations credit card to the tune of several trillions of dollars while giving an enormous tax cut to the wealthy in America?

3) Why is it that none of your brave patriotic leaders have ever served in the military, but all claim, like Michelle Bachman, that she'd give her life to defend her country? Why do you continue to believe that Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Mark Levin, Michael Savage- or any of these other talking head demogogues really care about America and not enriching themselves? What's it in for them if gold continues to sky rocket in value? What's in it for you?

4) What is so "conservative" about waging a senseless war on drugs that cost untold billions in treasure and countless lives. Isn't the war on drugs a manufacture of a nanny state telling you what you can and can't do with your body? What's worse Michelle Obama suggesting we eat healthy foods or Sarah Palin putting a pot head in jail?

5) How exactly does un-regulated free market capitalism work? Don't all markets devolve into monopoly without regulation?

6) How can you have a constitional democracy when you give one man, the President, the right and power to engage in world ending Nuclear war without the consent of congress or the people. Is democracy even possible post Hiroshima?

7) The biggest waste of federal money is the US military. Despite having declared no major victories in battle since the end of World War II, and ignoring the warning of RINO D. Eisenhower, the US war machine has wasted nearly half of all collected tax dollars for the better part of thirty years.

8) When will the military repay the funds that it has raided from Social Security?

9) What would you describe as generational theft? Making your grandchildren pay treasury exhausting wars of choice against 3rd rate powers where the US did not advance any strategic goals - or allowing people who paid into Social Security recieve their money back when they are 66 years old and unable to continue to work at a physically demanding job?

I could go on and on asking these questions. The problem with real life policy is there are many solutions and none of them are without consequences. The right wing in this country dominates the PR of American politics and this country is now more right wing than ever- despite a 2008 election. Obama is at best a moderate Democrat and the constant attacks on him alleging that he is some sort of far left zealot only helps advance the country farther and farther to the right.

Alright, you attempted, so I give you high five and star.

Problem is, you sidestepped most of them or did not realize the points trying to be made. Let me explain.

1)If all cultures are equal, why doesn’t UNESCO organize International Cannibalism Week festivals?

This question is SUPPOSED to wake you up to the FACT that multiculturalism, is not ALWAYS a good thing.

2)Why do those demanding “equal pay for equal work” never protest against “equal pay for little or no work”?

In a private enterprise, the people have the RIGHT to make whatever they can make. Tell me, did you think about the government workers or those gaming the VAST welfare system?

3) Why has no politician ever run on men’s issues or promised to improve the lives of males?

People always use the past and perceived harms that are not provable. Tell me, are we redistributing OPRAH's money to ME? LOL

4) If all beliefs are equally valid, how come my belief in the absurdity of this maxim gets rejected by its proponents?

This is another component that is supposed to make you realize that not EVERYTHING is valid, but this is an argument for the vast majority of the problems with multiculturalism.

5)Ever noticed that for the past thirty years, we’ve been hearing we have less than ten years to save the planet?

Yep, first it was Global Cooling, Global Warming, Global Climate Change, Global Climate Change, the seas will rise hundreds of feet and kill everyone!
Peeps on the progressive side calls the conservative fear mongers, GIVE ME A BREAK!

6)Once a politician labels the truth as hate speech, can anyone trust him to speak the truth afterward?

Why is it that EVERYTIME someone wants to limit speech, it is ALWAYS labeled hate speech, yet they use the VERY SAME arguments when they speak?

7) If a politician gets elected by the poor on a promise to eliminate poverty, wouldn’t fulfilling his promise destroy his voting base? Wouldn’t he rather benefit from the growing numbers of poor people? Isn’t this an obvious conflict of interests?

This is two fold, you have to realize that only in a true free market society, where the government does not STEAL the property one creates, that the MANAGEMENT of that system is the smallest possible. Which in turn means that what you earn or create remains yours, it is not shared by those that have to REDISTRIBUTE it for the good of the collective.

Also, HOWS that war on poverty working out? Last I heard, there are more in poverty NOW then EVER before.

Yeah, so giving the government MORE power...............MAY NOT be the brightest thing in the world to do. RIGHT?

Really, explain to me EXACTLY how the CONSTITUTION restricts ANYTHING that an individual can do.

Point out ONE THING that the CONSTITUTION restricts individuals to.

If you can do THAT, I would be highly amazed. You might even get appointed by the government to be the next gestapo head.

Just for YOUR information, I would like to inform you, that the Constitution places NO limitations on the citizens, it was created to limit the GOVERNMENT.

Or are you one of those that believes in the fantasy, that the Constitution was created to enslave us instead of free us?

No that's not how it works.

The bill of rights is not the only component to the Constitution. The Powers of Congress, the powers of the President, The Powers of the judiciary, how representatives shall be apportioned to states, then there's the open ended 9th Amendment to the Bill of Rights which lays the authority on the PEOPLE, not government, to reserve rights as they see appropriate, i.e. government can't tell you to buy something, government can't tell you what to eat.

The people aren't "fair game". The whole Constitution was designed to limit the powers of government, and if you notice, NO WHERE IN THE CONSTITUTION DOES IT SAY GOVERNMENT HAS RIGHTS, but enumerated POWERS, which means they cannot act beyond the scope of those powers.
