I lived in china for several years. Have many friends there and my grandson is chinese. Yes china has its problems as do all countries.. But they dont do half the evil that the u.s does around the world. The average chinese has far more freedom than the average american does.. Also havent seen china planning to invade other countries for corporate greed the way the u.s does .. Lets see u.s current wars - iraq, afghanistan, pakistan an eye on iran, n.korea, yemen, china, russia, covert military ops in over 80 countries.. Yet everyone says china is evil.. U.S has much more blood on its hands than china ever will..

Yes something along those lines is absolutely inevitable in 20 yrs or so - however that could be triggered at any time by an influx of refugees from a M.E war.

It would suit Irans game plan down to a tee, to have the Israelis nuke the Sunni Arab cities - leaving them free to produce the Mahdiand sieze the leadership of a grand Euro-wide jihad, counting on the major powers being drawn into a nuclear shooting match over this.

If you were an "Expatriot" native of China and wrote such things as this against them you would first be a traitor, and most importantly YOU, your family, friends and anyone that knows you would become targets for severe reprisals.

While our country isn't perfect, we are still FREE, a kind of freedom no lifelong Chinese citizen will ever know. The Chinese are an extremely paranoid, controlling oppressive regime, They are wise, and should never be underestimated. Their evils unlike the US are more sinister, more covert and hidden... Seems like that to me as well. But I doubt that they actually left it open to attack. Funny... the only device I know of that can actually tell what is in the ground around it is the HAARP. I'd bet there is one to twenty(tongue in cheek) under ground bases in the very under populated Alaska State. If the HAARP is as dangerous as some of the threads on ATS say then I doubt it would take too much effort to imobilize anything threatening to enter US airspace. The eyes in the sky seem to be all knowing.

I am japanese. And the best way to know the people of any country is to live among them and take the time to get to know them.. Not rely on media misinformation.. Things are not as terrible as the picture you paint from western media sources... As to travel most chinese do travel and have access to outside information not just the wealthy.
Aside from porn sites and farcebook most other websites including ats are available in china for people to access and most chinese do have internet access .. Even in rural areas.

I'm new to this site, but I think you guys are looking way too much into this emp threat, yes they can probably do it but you guys have enough nuclear assets, submarines, aircraft carriers out in the sea to screw any country that would use such a weapon. I wouldn't even worry about it.

Don't forget hacking and virus's, as mentioned and EMP can do a lot of damage.

But so can hackers and malicious software, and let's not forget China and some of its allies are some of the best in the world at this business.

Well I understand your concern but any country would be very stupid to use this type of weapons against the states. But you can always blame somebody else for doing it I guess but I'm sure you guys would figure it out where it comes from anyways, its a pretty big risk for any country to do this.
Now to use it for there own defense against an invading army, I would believe this a little more.

Edit: I'm more concerned about if the states economy crumbles, what will you guys do at the breaking point with all your weapons and technology, will you go like the Russian or will you use it against somebody else...but thats another topic

What China had done is only to emulate what the early Ming Dynasty emperors had been doing - tributary system.

Under such a system, it uses its might to show to smaller states, and make those leaders and people there humble themselves to a larger power that China is. China will then call the shots and determine their fates, and even selects the rulers over there, WITHOUT even sending its own troops to occupy those humbled state.

In the past, the emperors were satisfied with tributes of treasures (taxes actually). But today's tributary system is more than taxes. It will be the unbalance trade agreements that will turn smaller states citizens into slaves.
