Okay, what is "witty" about claiming two different things to explain your minor gaffe? How is that witty? It illustrates the ease with which she dissembles, even when it is far more damaging than the original misspelling. That seems to me to be the point of the OP. I don't see how the "perspective" you speak of changes that. And no, not witty...not at all.

Paris Hilton is pretty popular. Britney Spears is pretty popular. Miley Cyrus is VERY popular suddenly. Levi Johnston is actually pretty darn "popular" as well. If you are looking for someone who is popular and little else, then you bagged a winner.

If you thought what she did was witty, then you did not understand what happened. It is ok. I see that along among her "fans."

You seem about right.
