the fact the rothschilds and al gore are behind it, makes me think its all a scam.

if only people would stop polluting. but no one should have to pay taxes to 'pollute'

the rothchilds are the most evil xionist scum ever to set forth on earth. true evil. hitler was one of their sons, and they abide by the protokols of xion.

anyone that follows the protokols, cannot be trusted.

hence my disdain for the rothschilds, the most evil scum ever to walk the earth.

WRONG, temperatures weren't high enough to have caused this. We know for a fact that during the Medieval Warm Period for example temperatures were much warmer than they have been even thou atmospheric CO2 concentrations were 280-290ppm. We also know that the LIA was caused by the Sun's activity slowing down to a crawl, and by large volcanic eruptions, not because of CO2...

The fact that Anthropogenic Global Warming is nothing more than a lie goes to show, among many others, from the fact that the defenders and fanatics had to change it's name to Climate Change WHICH ALWAYS HAPPENS...

if you deny global climate change, you deny that humans have in any way had an effect on their surroundings. if you deny that, then please please please #ing kill yourself.

Hey Zorgon, do you remember how many articles have come forward in the last few years that also show for example that natural events, such as the solar wind etc, can combine with other natural processes to erode large chunks of ozone and upper level atmosphere?

Solar Storms, Arctic Winds Swirl in a Double Dip Cone of Ozone Loss

04.21.05

Solar storms, such as the unusually intense events in October and November 2003, affect many aspects of our lives, such as radio signals and satellite communications. Now a new study partially funded by NASA and using data from several NASA instruments has shown that those late 2003 solar storms, which deposited huge quantities of energetic solar particles into Earths atmosphere, combined forces with another natural atmospheric process last spring to produce the largest decline ever recorded in upper stratospheric ozone over the Arctic and the northern areas of North America, Europe and Asia.

Ah yes the Medieval warm period and then the mini ice age, when the fireplace was invented and tapestries were put on the wall and window panes were added to those old drafty castles. Giant Breach in Earth's Magnetic Field Discovered

Dec. 16, 2008: NASA's five THEMIS spacecraft have discovered a breach in Earth's magnetic field ten times larger than anything previously thought to exist. Solar wind can flow in through the opening to "load up" the magnetosphere for powerful geomagnetic storms. But the breach itself is not the biggest surprise. Researchers are even more amazed at the strange and unexpected way it forms, overturning long-held ideas of space physics. "At first I didn't believe it," says THEMIS project scientist David Sibeck of the Goddard Space Flight Center. "This finding fundamentally alters our understanding of the solar wind-magnetosphere interaction."

No, I did not know, but it doesn't invalidate what I've said. Climate change is happening independently of human action. We have (almost) nothing to do with it, it would have happen anyways.

Earth changes by itself, as all the planets in the Solar System as we speak. HELL! There are two planets who have literally changed their color due to climate change! Are there living beings on these planets? Not that I know of!

TPTB tried to blame us for the climate change to hide the bigger picture, which might be getting scary in a little while. We didn't cause it, and there's nothing we can do. That's the whole thing "sheeples" don't understand.

Thanks for the info though...

Ps I'm not using "sheeples" as an arrogant term. It's only a way of talking about the general population not aware of conspiracies. No disrespect intended!

So is this current fear of a possible looming mini ice age the same fear that preoccupied scientists in the 1970's, causing them to speculate about some very rash possible solutions?

Scientists Considered Pouring Soot over Artic

On April 28, 1975, Newsweek wrote an article stating: Climatologists are pessimistic that political leaders will take any positive action to compensate for the climatic change, or even to allay its effects. They concede that some of the more spectacular solutions proposed, such as melting the Arctic ice cap by covering it with black soot or diverting arctic rivers, might create problems far greater than those they solve. But the scientists see few signs that government leaders anywhere are even prepared to take the simple measures of stockpiling food or of introducing the variables of climatic uncertainty into economic projections of future food supplies. The longer the planners delay, the more difficult will they find it to cope with climatic change once the results become grim reality.

Heres a reprint of the original article below -
The Cooling World - Washington Times

The fear was so great of a coming Ice Age that in 1972 2 two scientists - George J. Kukla (of the Lamont-Doherty Geological Observatory) and R. K. Matthews (Chairman, Dept of Geological Sciences, Brown University) - wrote the following letter to President Nixon warning of the possibility of a new ice age:

Dear Mr. President: Aware of your deep concern with the future of the world, we feel obliged to inform you on the results of the scientific conference held here recently. The conference dealt with the past and future changes of climate and was attended by 42 top American and European investigators. We enclose the summary report published in Science and further publications are forthcoming in Quaternary Research. The main conclusion of the meeting was that a global deterioration of climate, by order of magnitude larger than any hitherto experience by civilized mankind, is a very real possibility and indeed may be due very soon. The cooling has natural cause and falls within the rank of processes which produced the last ice age. This is a surprising result based largely on recent studies of deep sea sediments. Existing data still do not allow forecast of the precise timing of the predicted development, nor the assessment of the man’s interference with the natural trends. It could not be excluded however that the cooling now under way in the Northern Hemisphere is the start of the expected shift. The present rate of the cooling seems fast enough to bring glacial temperatures in about a century, if continuing at the present pace. The practical consequences which might be brought by such developments to existing social institution are among others: (1) Substantially lowered food production due to the shorter growing seasons and changed rain distribution in the main grain producing belts of the world, with Eastern Europe and Central Asia to be first affected. (2) Increased frequency and amplitude of extreme weather anomalies such as those bringing floods, snowstorms, killing frosts, etc. With the efficient help of the world leaders, the research … With best regards, George J. Kukla (Lamont-Doherty Geological Observatory) R. K. Matthews (Chairman, Dept of Geological Sciences, Brown U)

Surely the Seed Vault they built not long ago must have something to do with all this?

Looking at Zorgons diagrams, the shift look quick and severe.....yes, some are caused by multiple occurances of volcanic activity which doesnt help, but what if some mild cooling categorized as "normal" or "cyclical" could be pushed over the edge towards a Ice Age chain reaction with a volcanic eruption or two?

And this is precisely why people should do their own homework - because a google search on that question will give you pages and pages of claims that 2010 was the hottest on record - mostly after only six months of data.

But the final count for the yr was..............that it was only the third warmest behind 1998 and 2005 - those claims were based on only two warm months due to an El Ninio event - all the other months were colder that normal.

You still hear that claim being touted on MSM almost everyday - wake up people you are being intentionally misled by people who have an alternative agenda!

Meanwhile, according to an analysis yesterday by David Whitehouse of the Global Warming Policy Foundation, 2010 had only two unusually warm months, March and April, when El Nino was at its peak. The data from October to the end of the year suggests that when the final figure is computed, 2010 will not be the warmest year at all, but at most the third warmest, behind both 1998 and 2005.

The facts about the global reality are clear. The oceans are warmer and getting warmer still, especially at the poles where temperatures are more acutely higher than normal compared to other places. Total average global temperatures are warmer as well.

Yes the fact are clear. Unfortunately TPTB OWNS the mass media and produces propaganda to advance their agenda (More power and wealth for them) not facts.

I prefer to go with the science.

OCEAN TEMPERATURE:

NODC Ocean Heat Content (0-700 Meters) – 2007, 2008 & 2009 Corrections

Ocean Heat content has leveled off and is actually showing a slight downward trend in NOAA's revised version Graph

Phil Klotzbach [Department of Atmospheric Science, Colorado State University.] has graciously permitted me to post an update on upper ocean heat content in the equatorial upper ocean. He writes:

“The Climate Prediction Center recently released its equatorial upper ocean heat content for April 2010. One of the primary areas that they focus on is the equatorial heat content averaged over the area from 180-100W. The decrease in upper ocean heat content from March to April was 1C, which is the largest decrease in equatorial upper ocean heat content in this area since the CPC began keeping records of this in 1979. The upwelling phase of a Kelvin wave was likely somewhat responsible for this significant cooling. It seems like just about every statistical and dynamical model is calling for ENSO to dissipate over the next month or two as well, so it’s probable that we will see a transition to neutral conditions shortly. I have attached a spreadsheet showing upper ocean heat content data from CPC since 1979. In case you’re interested, the correlation between April upper ocean heat content from 180-100W and August-October Nino 3.4 is an impressive 0.75 over the years from 1979-2009.

He has plotted the data below. An interesting question is to where this heat has gone. It could have moved north and south in the upper ocean, however, to the extent the sea surface temperature anomalies map to the upper ocean heat content, there is no evidence of large heat transfers except, perhaps, in the tropical Atlantic [see].

The heat could have been transferred deeper into the ocean. However, if this is true, this heat would have been seen moving to lower levels, but, so far, there is no evidence of such a large vertical heat transfer.

The heat could, of course, be lost to space. This appears to be the most likely explanation.

Temperature and precipitation history of the Arctic

...Solar energy reached a summer maximum (9% higher than at present) ca 11 ka ago and has been decreasing since then, primarily in response to the precession of the equinoxes. The extra energy elevated early Holocene summer temperatures throughout the Arctic 1-3° C above 20th century averages, enough to completely melt many small glaciers throughout the Arctic, although the Greenland Ice Sheet was only slightly smaller than at present...

As summer solar energy decreased in the second half of the Holocene, glaciers reestablished or advanced, sea ice expanded, and the flow of warm Atlantic water into the Arctic Ocean diminished. Late Holocene cooling reached its nadir during the Little Ice Age (about 1250-1850 AD), when sun-blocking volcanic eruptions and perhaps other causes added to the orbital cooling, allowing most Arctic glaciers to reach their maximum Holocene extent...

These are interpreted as indications of climatically induced changes in summer sea ice conditions…..This increased plant productivity is also interpreted as indicating summer warmth/higher precipitation associated with the greater open water. ”

The NOAA Graph of changes in summer insolation over four interglacials (yellow) shows we are on the down hill slope for insolation. Insolation is the amount of energy from the sun as measured at the earth's surface. This is where the energy stored in the oceans comes from. All CO2 can do is retard this energy from escaping. All energy originates with the sun. The position of the earth with relation to the sun, the albedo (cloud cover) and the intensity of the VARIABLE star called the sun determine how much energy reaches the earth's surface. Climate models consider the sun a constant and do not model clouds well.

Take a good hard look at the Vostok GRAPH. The present is on the right. We are not at a higher temperature than other interglacials. We should be very happy our temperature has been remarkably stable instead moaning about "Global Warming" The reality is Ice Ages are the norm so be glad we have "Global Warming" instead of ICE!

Then take a look at the 10,500 year Greenland Ice Core Graph We have already lost 3C since the peak temperature of the Holocene. There is a 10C temperature difference between the interglacials and glacials. The slide into a glacial can take less than a decade according to Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution

....if only people would stop polluting.....

Probably the worst part of the Global Warming Scam is the HUGE amount of money and expertise diverted from solving the true problems like polluting and starvation.

Along with the Banksters, you can add Monsanto and Cargill to the really evil corporations in this world.

Biofuels emit 400 percent more CO2 than regular fuels but they have done wonders for Monsanto and Cargill's Record Breaking PROFITS! Is it any wonder that we got saddled with NAFTA and The World Trade Organization while the VP of Cargill was the Senior Trade Negotiator and the CEO of Monsanto was Clinton's Senior Trade Advisor?. Clinton even admits he blew it.

Bill Clinton Admits Global Free Trade Policy has Forced Millions Of People into Poverty

Former US president Bill Clinton admits that the US `free trade' policy has forced millions of people in third world countries into poverty and starvation.

"Today's global food crisis shows we all blew it, including me when I was president, by treating food crops as commodities instead of as a vital right of the world's poor, Bill Clinton has told a UN gathering.

Clinton took aim at decades of international policymaking by the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund and others, encouraged by the US, that pressured Africans in particular into dropping government subsidies for fertiliser, improved seed and other farm inputs...

"Food is not a commodity like others," Clinton said. "We should go back to a policy of maximum food self-sufficiency. It is crazy for us to think we can develop countries around the world without increasing their ability to feed themselves."

World-renowned environmental leader, food-sovereignty activist and author Dr Vandana Shiva agrees with Clinton and in this video takes aim at the IMF and World bank over the same issues....

If countries and people are starving because the banksters Monsanto and Cargill are siphoning off their wealth, the last thing they are going to worry about is polluting the environment!

Cargill is privately owned and Monsanto is CONTROLLED by the financiers.

85% of Monsanto stock is owned by mutual funds and pensions but the stock is VOTED by the financiers such as the Johnson family, owners of the Magellan Fund and the Fidelity funds and somewhere around 7% of Monsanto or more.

I wish more people would follow the money trail. We have been Conned, Duped and Swindled for over a hundred years. Now thanks to the new "Food Safety LAW" we will join Africa in renouncing our food-sovereignty by giving control of our food to the Global Ag Cartel.

I could provide a whole laundry list of critical environmental issues that are being side-lined by this preposterous, fear mongering propaganda, known as anthropogenic global warming, but I won't waste my time. If reason won't sway the climate religionists then there is no point.

No, I am afraid that the profit margin is too high and the political power too great, for the globalists to simply abandon their pet project. Remember that there is consensus; a consensus that was shown to be completely manufactured and maintained through fraud.

Notice how the Warmists change the terms and fudge the data to suit their agenda. These actions are not consistent with real science; they are the actions of petty tyrants.

oh the irony, when you drop the 'warming' part, it'll become dogma, not to be messed with until the movement fails....

what's funny is that people predicted less rain, no snow and mild winters a little more than a decade ago. some of the more cautious people tried to rename the whole thing into climate change, but the old name stuck - as well as the cussword warmist (often in conjunction with gospel)

we on ATS aren't the only people noticing this travesty:

www.telegraph.co.uk...

in these past three years the Met Office’s forecasting record has become a national joke. Ever since it predicted a summer warmer and drier than average in 2007 – followed by some of the worst floods in living memory – its forecasts have been so unerringly wrong that even the chief adviser to our Transport Secretary might have noticed.

it's like the Pravda of old, sometimes the exact opposite, but even more often just G-I-G-O.

it goes on

when Dr David Viner of the CRU famously predicted to The Independent in 2000 that “within a few years winter snowfall will be a very rare and exciting event”. (Last week, that article from 10 years ago was the most viewed item on The Independent’s website.)

of course, selling every inconvenient weather pattern as a freak event after a couple of cold winters in a row is either a sign of boldness (arrogance?) and outright contempt for the public or just the result of a lack of imagination. either way, i just hope that sooner rather than later, glaciers in many locations will again start to grow and start to mirror the colder weather and higher levels of precipitation, with their respective delay periods.

regarding the Arctic, just keep in mind the rule of thumb in such 'matters', if the silence is deafening, a quick search might reveal something interesting:

hardly surprising though, since this is a longer term trend, as this 8 year old link readily proves:

Graph of reported temperatures from 1999, 2001 and 2009 showing figures lie and liars figure when reporting to the Mass Media.

JP Morgan becomes major media force AGAIN:

U.S. Congressional Record February 9, 1917, page 2947: Congressman Calloway announced that the J.P. Morgan interests bought 25 of America's leading newspapers, and inserted their own editors, in order to control the media.... www.mindfully.org...

.JP Morgan will now oversee 54 U.S. daily newspapers, the largest being the Los Angeles Times, making it the country's second largest daily newspaper publisher after Gannett.

JP Morgan will also own 31 television stations, surpassing the number of TV stations owned by CBS and News Corp.... www.newsandtech.com...

...5 companies own 95% of all the media that we get every day. They own the major entertainment theme parks, entertainment movie studios, television and radio broadcast networks and programing, video news and sports entertainment.

Think about it. WHO owns all the MORTGAGES and LOANS to the media corporations and to the corporations advertising in the media ---- THE BANKS!

New York Times: LEVERAGED BUYOUTS: AMERICAN PAYS THE PRICE

....These days, corporations seem to exist for the investment bankers....

In fact, investment banks are replacing the publicly held industrial corporations as the largest and most powerful economic institutions in America....

THERE ARE SIGNS THAT A VICIOUS spiral has begun, as each corporate player seeks to improve its standard of living at the expense of another's. Corporate raiders transfer to themselves, and other shareholders, part of the income of employees by forcing the latter to agree to lower wages. - January 1989

Yeah WHY DON'T WE LOOK AT THE CORPORATE MEDIA SPIN!

How about the fact that over 70% of the media bias shows global warming in a SKEPTICAL LIGHT. Or how about we look at the fact that the CORPORATE FOSSIL FUEL INDUSTRY FUNDS BOTH OUR MEDIA AND GLOBAL WARMING DENIAL MYTHS FOR OVER TWO DECADES.
