WikiLeaks given $1.3m in 2010, and Julian Assange pays himself two thirds of the salary budget

While it appears that Mr Assange is taking the bulk of the money, the Wall Street Journal is quick to point out that Wau Holland is not WikiLeaks' sole monetary provider. Under the Greenpeace salary structure, department heads are paid about $7,200 in monthly salary, a Wau Holland spokesman said.

Two-Thirds of Wikileaks Salary Budget Goes to Assange

According to the Wall Street Journal, and reported by the Daily Mail, the main financial arm of the organization is the German-based Wau Holland Foundation. According to the report, Wau Holland brought in about $1.3 million, with $130,000 designated for salaries. Assange paid himself $86,000 of that last year and dispersed the rest of the money among his staff. The salaries, the Daily Mail say, are an attempt by Assange and Wikileaks to legitimize the whistleblower organization

Of course, that's not including future book deals ... future TV appearances and magazine interviews ... probable payments from unnamed sources ... possible NWO payoffs if the guy is a NWO tool (which I think he is). This fella will be raking it in. Wonder what his stock portfolio and Swiss bank accounts look like. hmmmm ...

Good post and while I too am on the fence about Assange, this doesn't prove he is bad or anything - just human. We're all greedy in some ways. Usually the head of any company may get or keep a large percentage of the money to him/herself. I can name quite a few people who act or are for "the people" and yet are raking in tons of money (Sarah Palin comes to mind - she once got 250k for giving a lecture at an university). This does shed light on how he is able to go all over Europe, if not the world, if he feels like it.

$80,000 for being the head of an organisation and becoming the target of the most powerful people on the planet, he really needs to look elsewhere for lucrative employment.

That amount of money is easily equalled by middle managers in most big corporate organisations.

Good info, shows he's not doing it to get rich.

$86,000 isnt NWO pay off money. 86000 is a basic middle class salary. If NWO was paying him, you'd see atleast another 0, but probably 2 or 3 more 0's to consider it a pay off.

I agree. And $86,000 a year is pretty hard to live on in many of the big cities.

That's why I'd like to see his bank accounts and stock portfolio. YES .. I know .. it's none of our business and that'll never happen. But this is a CONSPIRACY board and being cynical paranoid conspiracists I'm sure some of us would like to know. That information would tell us a great deal.

If he hasn't got the swiss bank accounts with ill-gotten booty in them and he hasn't got stocks that benefit from this mess that he's created .. then that goes to his favor and says that what he's been doing may not be NWO contaminated.

However, if he's got stock investments in places that will benefit from this mess .. and/or he's got swiss bank accounts will bunches of $$$ in them .. then that goes towards damning him and what has gone down.

Same goes for book deals and magazine interviews, etc. Heck ... considering the times we live in ... I'd like to know if there are plans for Julian Assange action figure dolls or bobble heads that he'd get a percentage from!

EXAMPLES of why I'm wondering about the income/accounts/stocks ... Al Gore and Yassir Arafat ...

If we had taken Al Gore's word that he was spreading the 'man made global warming' message for our good and for the good of the earth, we never would have known the truth. The truth that he's massively invested in corporations and business that push the green technology AND the truth that man-made global warming is a money making scam. He was just chatting up the fake man-made global warming so he could get richer.

If we had taken Yassir Arafats word that he was working to help the Palestinian people out of a sense of humanity, we never would have known the truth. The truth that he stole hundreds of millions of dollars and had them stashed away in private swiss bank accounts; the truth that he didn't want peace because it would have interfered with his raping of the Palestinian people of their 'aid money'; the truth that the guy was a mass murdering pedophile and that he didn't care one smidgen about the Palestinian people, except that he wanted them to appear to be languishing in order for him to get more $$$.

Some people on this planet say Julian Assange blew everything apart with these documents because he's a good guy or because he wants what is best for the world, etc. (I've seen and read what he's said about the USA and my own opinion is that he has irrational hatred of America). Bank accounts/stocks/income from questionable or unquestionable sources would tell us a lot about the motivation behind this. His motivation and the motivation of those who have empowered him with the info.

Ahhhh .. and so it begins. The first of many, I'm sure. Books. Magazines. Photo spreads. He's probably going to make a mint. And if the endorsements dry up, there will be people out there who idolize this guy and who will be willing to 'donate' money to him.

80 grand should be classified as minimum wage and a liveable salary. Whether you are Assange, Middle manager, or hamburger assembler.

Yes yes I know...the argument of socialism and competition. As of now...how well is the program in place working?

If you say just fine......well, like someone responded to me...the drug testing kit is on aisle 5...I asked an employee at Walgreens.

Sounds like you are jealous..

But so what if he makes a little money..
$1.5 million might sound like a lot but it isn't when you consider a 3 bedroom house around here costs about a million and that's not the posh part of town..

Many celebrities make money and yes, he is a celebrity..

BTW, Australia paid Tiger Woods $3 million just to come over and play 3 days of golf..

If he was so rich why did it take so long for him to get enough people to put up the £250,000 bail money to secure his release. It now seems he will have to make some quick bucks to pay back those who lent him the money.

Um ... no.
I'm not jealous of someone who makes millions of $$ by stealing and putting other people's lives in danger. I'm not jealous of someone who is a NWO tool and who takes advantage of peoples trust. You are WAY off base. (poor deflection attempt).

This is a conspiracy board. We discuss facts. The facts about his income and potential income from this can not be dismissed. Like I said .. look at Al Gore and Yassir Arafat. Good examples of why we should question every alleged 'do gooder' and make sure that 'do-gooder' is really on the up and up.
