I think some people think fiction imitates life, which is why in elitist circles the masqurade is such a popular and meaningful event.

I of course have never been invited, and at most my conception of it is based on eyes wide shut. Peter Sinfield (the song writer for king crimson) has an interesting website that spends a little time discussing the significance of the masked ball.

To me it is incredibly pretentious. I would never no matter how much sex, drugs, alchohol and scintillating rituals there would be, attend one of those gathering. It an embarrassment to me.

I forgot to add it to the my first reply but the novel is based on a real life story.

The story of I am the man is the story of the renegade Illuminati, they just turned it into a fictional story so it would be harder for the "others" to understand the message.

People fear that which they don't know or understand. Considering your feelings and preconceived notion about what these elements might mean, I can understand why you feel the way you do. However, I would caution you not to prejudge something for which you may have received information from dubious sources. By your own admission, you have never been to one of these events or have any insight into the meaning behind them other than what you've seen on tv or read by an author who might have an agenda. I can tell you that the symbolism is very meaningful and not what you might expect. Furthermore, in the events I have attended, I have never seen a veritable orgy or someone being murdered, etc....like Hollywood would have you believe given their creative license. In this case, fiction does NOT imitate life. It is merely fiction that is mean to capitalize on fears and opinions just like yours and it is something that they do well... Why do you think Stephen King is such a brilliant best selling author? Perhaps it is because he knows how to take the deepest fears of the average person and translate it into chilling fiction. It is a testament to psychology if nothing else...

I doubt that anyone of the global elite would call themselves an Illuminati. They might be Fascist, Communist or Capitalist, anything really but with the same ideas that have been alive for centuries. If you notice since when women have equal rights, or blacks for that matter, or all of us about 100 years ago, we've come a long way. +100 years ago we would all have been slaves of the industrial revolution (at least in here Europe). Equality amongst mankind is a modern concept. I am convinced that the Illuminist ideas have survived in one way or another and still live in our society today.

The idea of a one world government is nothing new. An empire where the sun does not set was every despot's wet dream. Look at Khadaffi: the perfect example of how these ideas are still tolerated. Look at the Romans, The Persians, Djengis Khan, Napoleon etc. Berlusconi in Italy is a power-hungry fascist, just like his club of wealthy friends. And the extremely wealthy "illuminati" are always willing to finance the next revolution.

The Bilderberg group is controlling politicians, controlling the economy and trying to influence world events to the fullest. Several globalist institutions exist, the North-American Union is still on the agenda, Europe is unified, Africa now has a united army etc. These are all fairly recent events that fit the Illuminati-inspired globalist agenda perfectly.

#1) In my experience and knowledge with the uber-wealthy, they NEVER pay for anything themselves. That's one of those so-called "secrets" of wealthy.... You always use someone else's money. Never your own. There are other benefits to this too, such as "plausible deniability" with the whole "follow the money" tact. i.e., it will NEVER lead back to YOU!

#2) Have you ever thought about WHY a group of individuals would finance chaos or, more importantly, set it into motion? The only clue I can give you here is "Think deep." Things do not happen in a vacuum or on a whim.
