It makes me sick how some people are so blind and think we actually have a democracy. What makes me even sicker is how often I hear politicians say they want to spread our democracy to the world. Ugh don't make me puke, we don't have a democracy you lying sack of $%^&. They are spreading something over the world, but it sure ain't democracy. They spread corrupt "republics," and they make sure people who can be bought get in power first.
*** Another fact is the American people don't even vote for their president. Let me elaborate. They do "vote," but their vote literally doesn't count and it is purely for show. Just read the constitution. The electoral college is the only group that actually elects the president. It just so happens that most of the time, the people "vote" for who the electoral college wants to be president, which is bound to happen when only(usually) two people run for president. But the vote is still merely for show, just read the constitution.

A Republic with laws is just the same as a “democracy” since it has laws as well.
America is a democracy in the sense that it has elections where the one with the most votes wins, and a republic in the sense it has laws or guiding principles.

I love the republic America, our forefathers knew what they were doing and they were so wise.
I would postulate that the United States is now a Corporatocracy.

In practice, true. But under law, no.
...Seems to me it's time for people to use the law to defend the law. Or lose it.
...Use the Constitution to defend the Constitution and the Republic.
