This is a smoke screen. As soon as Assange said that 9/11 was not an inside job, it became clear that he was a government hack. The other criticism is that he is silent on izrael and thats what this is about. A poor attempt to rekindle some legitimacy.

According to a letter Gargash gave the Ambassador (which transmitted details of the request from Dubai Security authorities to the UAE Central Bank), the credit cards were issued by MetaBank, in Iowa. Embassy LEGATT is transmitting the request and associated details to FBI HQ. Gargash asked that Embassy pass any
reply to the director of the General Directorate of State Security (GDSS) in Dubai.

If I had info to leak, I don't know how comfortable i would feel sending it to any of those sites (especially israelileaks). Seems they could very well be any or all of those countries attempts to get info specifically about them (wouldn't send indo leaks to israeli and israeli to indonesia) leaked to them (so it can never be heard of again) rather than posting it at Wikileaks.
Not that they aren't legit, but these to me seem ten times fishier than WL.
I support WL send your info there, not to these.

Greetings all... I'm posting here on behalf of the israeliLeaks.org project. A few great topics came up in this thread. I'm including links below relative to a couple of them (who/what are we, questions about wikileaks, etc). Here, I'd like to jump straight ahead to issue of "leaking".

First, whistleblowers don't leak to organizations, they leak to indvividuals. ...generally people they trust.

israeliLeaks is not an organization; it is a collaborative project of individuals. The individual contributors do not pledge any specific amount of their time/effort to the project, and they do not receive compensation from it. This is a question of interest/motive and intellectual freedom. Each researcher has his/her own sources, and each decides what information is or isn't brought into the project. Any "leaks" coming into the project would be the product of a whistleblower supplying information into the public domain directly to an individual. That individual would then bring the information to the project for coordinated release. Individuals contributing to israeliLeaks nurture personal relationships with sources from all walks of life in an international context, and we expect this to continue to be the main avenue for new source material.

WikiLeaks and others are (heavily) burdened by the nature and scale of their operations. They have income and obligations (payroll, etc), generally an existence to maintain. Even when it comes to content, it is absolutely neccesary for them to make strategic decisions about the political, legal, and financial impact of anything they allow the public (the rest of us) to access. Because they exist as entities (corporations), each of their decisions must include consideration of self-preservation.

Finally, whistlerblowers generally do not want their material to be filtered through an editorial process. Many of them are risking their careers, lifestyles, and sometimes their lives to insert previously secret information into the public domain (generally for the common good). WikiLeaks/OpenLeaks/et al can offer a global platform to any whistleblower that believes he/she can trust them (anyone considering this should look into Bradley Manning's experience). The israeliLeaks solution to the 'whistleblower looking for an outlet' problem is simple. The source can contact the project through the website, and an individual will respond. The researcher would fully identify himself/herself (easily verifiable public identity) with the source controlling their own degree of self-identification. From this point forward, researcher and source can communicate by any means they see fit (ideally, there will be 2 or more researchers engaged with the source). There is no need for persistent "Internet lock-boxes" or 'SSL enabled websites'. Ad hoc encryption methods allow for sensitive information to be tranmitted via public networks, and dynamic naming and addressing is more of an asset than a liability. The art of transferring information confidentially is as old as recorded history, and these systems have been compromised for centuries (without the need for $10M computer data centers). There is no need for an incoroporated "leak" organization or standing mechanisms to communicate "leaks". The structured networking and aligning of individuals is the only requirement, and everything beyond that comes with a cost. Consistent methods are much more important than consistent infrastructure (People like globaleaks.org are exploring the topic of community-based leak sharing and corelation [not to speak for them]).

Assange's quote taken "within context" does nothing to change its meaning, at all. Youre saying that Assange cant be bothered with a "false conspiracy" like 9/11 Truth because there arent enough "FACTS"? Now thats funny.

Assange is a shill and a fake and this proves it. I have yet to see one thing that has been revealed that actually tells us something of consequence: that civilians have been killed in Iraq and Afghanistan (this wasn't obvious?), that the Afghan government is corrupt, that Hillary Clinton bad mouthed other diplomats, that Iraq actually had WMDs (wow, I mean WOW).

And what has all this alleged outraged over nothing resulted in? Brand new shiny whistle blower legislation which makes it more difficult to expose real government secrets while offering no protection to the whistle blower. Imagine my surprise (sarcasm):

The bill would not protect WikiLeaks or anyone who improperly reveals sensitive information.

All Wikileaks smears are from intelligence agencies or conspiracy profiteers.
