Imtor, thanks for the post -I'd say there's quite a difference between healthy scepticism and cynical debunkery (link) but I do understand what you're saying - I also agree there's been some incredibly strange UFO incidents over the years, the Argentine Bariloche case being a very good example.

Metaldave, thanks for the sound advice man.

Considering you live on top of a UFO have you any thoughts on the thread subject or cases like the Bariloche incident?

Cheers.

Some more information about the commisson:

On May 26, 2011, Argentina officially launched the Commission for the Study of Aerospace Phenomena under the direction of Captain Mariano Mohaupt. Their goal is to contribute in the search for a scientific and technical explanation of those aerospace phenomena which have not been identified.

It is my personal belief that aliens went to Argentina, why else would cattle mutilations drop off in the US and start up over there? There were some really mysterious cases, I doubt that the government would make a base and steal from the public to produce their genetic experiments. Maybe the CIA did it in the 70s to make people think in America that aliens were mutilating cattle and they did a damn good job doing it with their own UFOS if so, but it doesn't make sense that Argentina would copy them when it stopped there. Not only that but a case similar to Paul Bennewitz happened in Argentina with discovering a UFO base, it is just hard for us to get the information elsewhere, so a small amount of information on this goes a long way for me.

In every country that the United States is either an ally of or a U.S. military presence resides...even such prominant countries as Great Brittan...all data and E.T. related information is defered to U.S. Intelligence. Even countries that have at one time or still are possible rivals...such as Russia and even China...information is still shared with U.S. agencies.

There is a VERY GOOD REASON for this...and they are more than happy to do it. In the case of Argentina...at the time of these events...there was a major rift with the U.S. This has been corrected. Split Infinity

Good video with subtitles describing the reasons for the Argentine commission and other UFO cases:

Any country that has radar and telescopes could easily settle the simple question of whether or not there are weird things in the sky in short order without scrambling fighters, just by instructing their radar operators to immediately contact astronomers so that an unknown can be captured on film from at least three angles with azimuth, elevation, and location of each telescope noted to allow scientifically valid triangulation, plus the radar data to go with the photos. It just takes an executive order from the top of government to make that kind of serious effort. What the government decides to do with that information is another matter.

Xpoq47 let's hope the Argentine government's decision to form a serious UFO investigative committee actualy realises that kind of serious effort - it's concerning the hideously agenda based Condon report, but I thought Ronald D Story from the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics also made a good point below about the high ratio of truly puzzling UFO cases and unexplained observations:

"The opposite conclusion could have been drawn from The Condon Report's content, namely, that a phenomenon with such a high ratio of unexplained cases (about 30 percent) should arouse sufficient scientific curiosity to continue its study.
From a scientific and engineering standpoint, it is unacceptable to simply ignore substantial numbers of unexplained observations... the only promising approach is a continuing moderate-level effort with emphasis on improved data collection by objective means... involving available remote sensing capabilities and certain software changes."

Ronald D Story - American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics UFO Subcommittee -New York: Doubleday, 1980

As for the thread subject here's an interesting video featuring UFO researcher Antonio Huneeus discussing the new commission:

Long time UFO researcher Antonio Huneeus covers various historical, poitical, military and scientific UFO issues. These include the discussion of extraterrestrial life by astronomers from the Vatican Observatory and UFO sightings in Rome; the history of the UFO issue at the United Nations; the Laurance Rockefeller UFO Initiative in the 1990s; the UFO sighting and power blackout in Argentina, in Novenmber 2009; and more. This clip includes an excerpt from Antonio Huneeus about Argentina's new UFO Commission.

Great thread by my friend Karl12

Just one thing let´s hope Cristina´s hand is not too involved with this committe, otherwise I´m certain the ufos will most likely have a justicialista purpose, just joking...or not...

Here is researcher Bibiana Bryson´s take on this committe, (former member of CEFORA)

My translation:

What is your take on the creation of a committe with the Argentine Air Force, in the field of UFO investigation?

This is not the first time that an committe has been created for this purpose, and I want to be clear on this subject, I am a friend of some of the researchers that take part in this effort, but something must be made clear for the public.

1.- The Air Force will only investigate air incidents.

2.- The Air Force will not investigate ground incidents, or sea, therefore tracks, mutilations, encounters of the third type, and USOS will be descarted.

This leads me to conclude that their is a great problem with the way this research will be conducted. This committe should have been created by the Ministry of Defensem or the Joint Chiefs of the Forces, this way the phenomenon could be investigated in a more comprehensive way.

You can´t do comprehensive research if you have partial information, results will be partial and we will still have many questions unanswered.

Let us not forget what happened in Spain, where disclosure was a fraud (totally agree with her)
And it would enfuriate me to see that the colleagues in this investigation, Dewey, Iurchk, diaz, Brunetti and Ferguson are used for political interests that go beyond my country...

Btw I´m trying now to get some first hand info on some cases by the colombian airforce, contacts have been made, they are thinking about it, I´m no committe, just one or two interviews, let´s hope it goes well.

Heres a thread on the Chilean Government Agency Releasing UFO Images:

www.abovetopsecret.com...

These aren't UFO's, these are just stealth drone US technology spying on South and Central American countries and testing their tech in "Americas backyard".

en.wikipedia.org...

These countries are "exposing" pics and setting up "committees" under the guise of "UFO" as a passive-aggressive proxy establishing they're being spied on:

1 - Americans are hoping all these strange craft they see would be ignored by these 3rd world countries for fear of being ridiculed, like airline pilots choosing to remain silent, lest their integrity be questioned. However they have had enough and are making UFO's "official" to get rid of the stigma.

2 - so they can say "Ha! see!" when the # hits the fan down the line Snowden style and seek reparations for their sovereign air space being invaded thousands of times with impunity against the Americans abusing their superior tech.
