Wish I could flag your statement along with starring it.

When I was in, I never saw black or white or brown or yellow, gay or straight. I knew some of them were gay but it didn't matter.

I only saw the guys who were as dedicated to covering my ass (no damn pun intended) and saving my life as I was theirs. Brothers.

You can choose not to be straight, and you can choose not to be gay.

You can be celibate and not have sex either way.

Are you saying that you feel sexual arousal for both men and women but CHOOSE only to act on that arousal with one of those genders? As pretty as Natalie Portman is, I cannot CHOOSE to be excited by another woman. Where I come from, we call people like you bisexual.

I dont think you understand the definition of words we are talking about.

Being gay means being attracted to same gender. You can not choose who you are attracted to.

A person that is attracted to the same gender, but chooses to not have sex with the same gender, is still gay.

What it really comes down to is that a homosexual can choose not to engage in homosexual behavior, just like a heterosexual can choose not to engage in heterosexual behavior. Which means a homosexual can appear heterosexual, despite being homosexual. But it's nothing more than an act. A homosexual is still going to be attracted to same-sex. A heterosexual is still going to be attracted to the different sex.

EVERYTHING is a choice....especially considering sex with the same gender....at some point a decision was made.

CHOOSING who you are attracted to are two very different things. Right now, as you are typing and NOT having sex, does that make you currently not straight or gay?

Just because a man is attracted to another man does not make him gay.

He is only gay when he acts upon that attraction....

IE. gay sex

LOL that's exactly what I am saying, However you are blurring SEX, LOVE ,LUST,... you must "KNOW" the person whom you have sex with. In other words love the person. The ultimate gift gift of love is being able to create a new life.
