Sure. But can we change the current system, whithout striking fear into the populus? The population has become so in-tune with our system, it's like a love/hate relationship. We hate it at times, but try to defend it when other's try to help. It is one of the main reasons that we cannot bring down the current system without causing anarchy.
At least, to a certain extent.

Here are the things to do with a vote…
1. Vote for Demo-Rep
2. Don’t vote (better than voting for dictatorship)
3. Vote for a minor party = Utilised 100% as Demo-Rep looks at you, and thinks “holy …. Someone turned out to vote for a minor party, hay the pressure is on us to copy that minor party and behave like this country is a democracy”

Sadly there is always a chance the voter-rig machine will delete your efforts, but this applies to all 3 options. If you vote for a minor party at you do your duty.
Vote for the big two and you do your bit to ensure your children will some day, live in a full blown, dictatorship.

So the only peaceful way of reform is to use social media, to discourage others voting for this “virtual dictatorship” called DemoRep.

Many people are scarred of doing that because (being so MSM de-informed about democracy) they believe their vote will be somehow “wasted” if they don’t vote for the big two (as only the big two ever win) (which is true!).
However your vote is probably more “wasted” if it becomes the 100th thousandth to join the Demo-Rep victory Surplus. Even with vote rigging, any hard copy means voting for minors, scares “The Two Big Brothers”.

Earth is considered to be an open system, but the artificial systems of government tend to be closed systems. The two party system mentioned by the O.P. is an example of a closed system. As long as the two party system as able to keep its stranglehold on national and state politics, the tendency towards entropy will continue. For all intents and purposes, entropy equals chaos. Aggregation of power demands closed systems, and all closed systems tend towards entropy.

Lord Acton was on to something when he stated that; "Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely", and the Founding Fathers were on to something when they endeavored to establish a government where power was spread amongst the people evenly.

Fixing closed systems is pointless. The key is to maintain open systems.

My specialty over the last 15 years or so has been managerial or supervisory, the system is never so broken it cannot be fixed.

The problem is, working within the system to fix the system is almost impossible.

Look at the problem as a whole, what is broken?

There is no responsibility inherent in the system. No one is held responsible for their choices and no one EVER takes responsibility. Studies, committees, this, that, the other thing.

Tell me, when the price of gas went to over $4 per gallon, we were told the problem was that there are not enough refineries or supply to keep the prices down and it would take 10 years to implement new refineries or oil exploration.

BULL, that is true when you take into account the steps and bullcrap you have to deal with government bureaucracy. When dealing with inspectors in the construction field, they do not even have knowledgable inspectors, they think what they believe to be the codes or their version of it, is the correct way to do things. It is a bunch of malarkey.

Basic thing is, that contractors and builders take the responsibility of creating or building something, if they do something wrong, they are held liable. But with government, they have all these different steps, not for safety, but to cover themselves from responsibility.

The system has to be whittled down to it's bare bones. It has to reinstitute responsibility to every position. No more fair this or fair that, it is time for the best of the best to be allowed to do what they do. And those in government that are not willing to stick their neck out and make decisions, time for them to be FIRED.

And I am not talking individuals, I am talking entire agencies need to be eliminated. And problems that occur, those individuals, companies, government officials, have to be held responsible where they were meant to be held responsible, in a COURT OF LAW. Either civil or criminal.

All these agencies and bureaucracies were only created to protect the interests of the corporations, banks and government officials, PERIOD.

How many times have we heard about a company, bank or whatever only being fined for something? How bout someone being jailed?

Just a small observation on my dealings with government officials.
