Abusive Homeland Security 'troll' attacks anti-TSA website: report

www.rawstory.com

An activist website devoted to opposing the TSA's new screening procedures says it's the victim of an online "troll" from inside the Department of Homeland Security.

WeWontFly.com, which is urging the public to stop flying "until the porno scanners are history," says it has identified abusive comments from someone using a DHS computer.

AAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHA...

This sounds eerily similar to some of the things I have seen here on ATS, minus the cro-magnon, foul-mouthed tirade, which would have had this individual censored into oblivion. heh.

So the DHS joins in the foray of paid disinfo shilling, to sing the TSA's molest-a-thon's praises and condemn and ridicule those voicing their disapproval of it?

But hey, we KNOW that the gov doesn't have disinfo shills doing these types of things, right? And that all of us that point these things out are just 'paranoid nut-jobs', right? Nothing to these claims, nothing to see here, move on peasant!

I swear, it seems like these thugs are getting more blatant and out in the open by the day.

This just proves that disinfo agents do exist, and are a valuable resource in this information age, and in information warfare. They're like digital version of psy-op's soldiers.

They are getting more brazen and blatant.

No consequences = free reign. Government sponsorship = instant patriotic authorization.

The fact that the activists are non-profit means that they have no protection under commerce law..... but if they become 'for profit' they can be called out as monsters trying to make a buck by those same trolls.... interesting dynamic, no?

I find it hard to believe that the IT group of wewontfly has the ability to infiltrate an alleged DHS computer considering from what I've heard, there are so many firewalls that the DHS has on there computers.

But if it is true, just goes to show you were the buck stops. This is just getting ridiculous.

Do you have a source that says someone from the wewontfly IT team infilitrated ANY computers? They simply traced it back. Anyone who logs on to pretty much any website, leaves a footprint, each time, which pages you visit, how long you stay on whatever page, what OS your using, what browser your using to view the website. No magic really needs to be done, and definitely no hacking needed.

I think they are assuming it's 1 person because that person's been posting on they're site

just my 2 cents.

A flag for the catch, but I'm guessing it's just some dumb...whatever...that sent the messages and is now going to hear about it from the boss.

Remember the Israeli Megaphone program during the Rachel Corrie disaster (and wasn't that the most disgusting this ever) The US Government would be foolish if they didn't have some sort of disinformation system in place for the internet. I've honestly been surprised there hasn't been more disinformation and out right attacks on web and activist communities. Although I agree, this sounds like some dumb schmuck who got a little over zealous in his cubicle at the DHS.

Unless a user uses a program much like Tor, which changes your ip address with each log on. Which is a sure fire way to hide your tracks.

Very true! Unfortunately, the person working there isn't as smart as us :-D

Heh, I actually recognize a few of the posts that were outlined. Wonder if they are posting here on ATS as well. Would be an interesting excercise to go through the posts table on the database and look for posts orignating from TSA servers.

Good find OP. People here on ATS have always known about these trolls although some refused to believe that they were real. This is just another step up the ladder by the American Government to divide the People and to spread disinfo. Nothing that the government does surprises me anymore. I really do not put anything past them. I know that my name is on their WatchList inside their fusion center along with a lot of people on ATS.

We as a People need to not let their Divide and Conquer plan succeed. Instead, we need to see the trolls for what they are and stand against their propaganda.

Somewhat related, and certainly not meant to de-rail the thread, but how do you really know:
