I wasn't sure whether to post this in the UFO & Aliens forum or in Forum 84...

Ryanair, the airline, has issued a press release today.

I'll quote it in full below, without the associated "shocking images" since I think most members of ATS should be able to rapidly identify the relevant "UFO" from the text alone without seeing the images.

One of the images can be seen at the link below if you need some help or want some evidence to confirm your conclusion...

www.ryanair.com...

Ryanair reports UFO to Aviation Authorities
RYANAIR CAPTAIN REPORTS UFO 200KM SOUTH OF OSLO

SHOCKING IMAGES RELEASED WHILE RYANAIR REFUSES TO COMMENT ON ‘TEST FLIGHT’ SPECULATION

Ryanair, Europe’s favourite airline, today (22nd Dec) confirmed that the Captain of flight FR1397 from Oslo Rygge to London Gatwick reported an Unidentified Flying Object to Aviation Authorities after passengers released shocking images taken onboard the aircraft some 200km south of Oslo.

Aviation experts confirmed that they had received a number of similar reports and confirm that such sightings are not uncommon in the region at this time of year, with an increasing number of sightings reported right up to 25th December.

Ryanair’s Stephen McNamara said

“Ryanair confirms that the Captain of flight FR 1397 officially reported an unidentified flying object some 200km south of Oslo. The crew became aware of the object after passengers spotted it and begun to photograph it.
Ryanair has passed the image to Aviation Authorities throughout Europe in a bid to ensure further sightings can be reported. Ryanair does not comment on rumour or speculation and will not be drawn on passenger claims that the UFO was a test flight ahead of 24th December. This is now a matter for the authorities.”

I'll just take this opportunity to wish my fellow members of ATS a very merry Christmas.

All the best,

Isaac

proof that the north pole is inhabited by small 'elf' like aliens.

I lol'd when I saw the pic.

But then I thought that its just like the phoenix lights when they brought out a guy in an alien costume...
so... lol, with a hint of disappointment.

cute but I'm not a fan of legitimate airlines making UFO claims and then finding out it was just a joke. Was pretty excited when I saw the title to this thread, upset when I read it.

If that object enters UK airspace I hope they blow the thing out of the sky.

This type of sighting is not unusual in the least.

I believe NORAD actually keep a track of these type of objects.

I believe the evidence is clearly a work of photoshop and I believe it is of terrestrial origin.

Cheers.

Why in the world would you get upset? Aviation authorities and pilots are frequently reporting real UFO sightings and are ignored anyway.

Cheer!

Hold on, just had a thought:

Santa? North Pole? Flying reindeer? Agartha and the Hollow Earth Theory?

Right! I'm off to the nearest Santa's Grotto and finally getting some answers from someone in the know!
