I remember reading this article on the 17th, but I didn't realize that it was so exclusive...

In Norwegian: www.aftenposten.no...

Thanx, seems like they are just just going to release documents related to Norwegian domestic affairs, foreign operations and the relationship with usa, at least for now.

I just read on Yahoo the leaks are specifically damaging to Russia and just last week there was a thread - I can't find - that said Russia was praising Assange and Wikileaks (and before there was a thread about Russian officials saying it would "destroy" Wikileaks if it has damaging info). Though I know the leaks are merely gossip-like in their tone, Russia's swift reaction is always something to watch.

So, is Russia taking lessons from John Kerry in flip-flopping or what? Is Russia truly against or for Wikileaks? I'm confused here.

I'd say the russians are for leaks that make them look good and against those that makes them look bad. In fact if you substitute russia for any other nation it probably applies.

No friends, no enemies, no principles, only interests and special interests.

These are the leaks of leaks to mask and distract from the big bank legal team investigative swat team. "Wag the Dog" if you will. Holy sh** the cats out of the bag. Look at all of these and try to sort through them at once... well a bit at a time ... well wait a second look at these few. (Glad we found that one!) Mean while Wikileaks releases enough to rock each boat a little bit at a time... Rock a bye baby on the elite top, your soon going to fall... on your big fat coin jar!

like to make a point here:

The articles posted on Aftenposten of the
wikileaks cables do not target America
or American Politicians.

So far the 3 cable articles I read (translated)
involved Norway's unhappy with China over
human rights abuses which they have claimed
they would fix for the past 3 yrs. Another was
over disputed delimitation line in the Barents Sea.
And another one was over dirty oil. None of it
included American interest.

Another thing I found out. I searched online for
over 2 hrs trying to find a link between Soros
and Aftenposten and I could not find a single one.

So this leads me to believe that Soros and wikileaks
were in fact targeting America with it's releases
since Aftenposten hasn't posted a single one
targeting America. This evidence would play
into my thread that Soros and wikileaks was indeed
blackmailing America with those leaks.

One of 3 things have happened here:

1) a disgruntled ex-wikileak employee did not
like the fact that only America was targeted
and decided to leak the whole cable batch to
another newspaper outside Soros reach.

2) Or a government agency leaked it to them
to draw heat away from scrutiny of American
foreign policy.

3) Somebody cracked the insurance file and
gave it to Aftenposten

I believe that Assange nor Soros wanted
this leak to Aftenposten to happen. Which is
why you have not heard a peep out of Julian
about it. An opposing force is countering
their chess moves.

I think you are making too much out of the lack of American issues in this paper's releases. Believe it or not, most other countries are more interested in how the leaks affect them than the US. Here in Canada the MSM showed first and foremost those things related to Canada. Big surprise. Why wouldn't they?

I pick option number two.

Of course you can't see all the leaks for yourself because Assange doesn't want you too!!

Assange will tell you when you can see them IF YOU can see them.

I don't believe these cables got *leaked* by any accident, assange planned this leak/allowed it to the newspaper.

This is to cover his pathetic ass in case he was brought on charges, he could point his slimly little fingers, they got it too.

You people buy this garbage hook line and sinker.

How is that for transparency feed your followers a little bit of dog food, to keep them complacent and not turn on you.

Assange sounds like the governments he so much hates..

Keeping his own little wikisecret.

What a sham!!!

It is all planned out, none of this is an accident.

Assange is not dumb, he made damn sure the files were very secure,
so they can only be used for his advantage.
Might even of sold the cables to the paper in a back door deal
to make some cash that he is going to need for all these new attorney fees and
in return it's covering his ass for if/when charges are filed.

Of course, Assange always wanted to have the advantage to sit in the cell, where Oscar Wilde sat in. Such a privilege! And he also wanted to have the advantage of being called a cyber terrorist and people call for his death on tv.
Aftenposten surely lied, when they said, there was no money in that deal.

I bet, Assange is even going to sell his electronic tag on ebay and gets even richer!

It is always good to have someone like you, to explain the reality behind all this. I feel enlightened now.

That is exactly what I was thinking.
Before the papers were only publishing what was known. If this paper publishes just one leak preemptive of WL they are just as guilty.
