It's more likely it was just a normal earthquake. I don't think the pressure would be a big deal or you would see that all over the world when it snows or at least every time it has snowed heavily in that area they would have in the past.

I have read about the use of earthquakes as a weapon that could be triggered by adding massive amounts of water to underground rivers though.

I guess your right.....

Just my early morning, pre-coffee brainfarts.........I was thinking glacial rebound.....ice.....snow.....lightbulb!! Until you realize that the glaciers that cause these rebounds were several miles thick and the process took some time. You would have to conclude that it is indeed a weird idea......Maybe I should refrain from posting before consuming coffee.
