Greetings:

Noticed you are in New Zealand.

We wish you the very best and hope that you and yours are OK:

Is there ANYTHING I/we here at ATS could accomplish collectively to help in any way there?

My background is 20+ years Red Cross logistics and volunteer firefighter/first response.

I'm pretty conversant on the computer, also.

I look forward to your response.

Thought there would be more aftershocks recorded on USGS in the NZ region today.

Most of them are low 4 ML, so they won't be showing them.
For the 23rd UTC I've got 6 @ 4.017 to 4.366 and 42 @ 3.07 to 3.902 and 18 @ 2.615 to 2.965all in ML, just plotting them now.
I'm not sure if I will do the Felt reports for this series of aftershocks, most of the ones Geonet are showing as felt only have a few reports from outer areas, the power still out to 50% of Christchurch and people still in survival mode getting water and sorting out where to go next, no time for posting on the Net

I'd take it that all the 4's were felt and probably 80% of the 3's.

Looks like a standard 6 aftershock quake series, tapering off quite quickly down to the 2's

I'm not sure thor4winds, the Red Cross here are saying that they don't want blankets, tents and cans of food etc because the task of managing such influx of materials will distract staff from the task at hand, helping people cope with the trauma.
If anyone feels the need to help they are asking for cash towards the Red Cross Appeal
• Secure online donation at www.redcross.org.nz/donate
• Cheque to: New Zealand Red Cross 2011 Earthquake Appeal, Freepost 232690, PO Box 12140, Thorndon, Wellington 6144
• Direct Credit Transfer to our Special Appeal Bank Account: Kiwibank 38-9009-0759479-00 and the account name is RED CROSS.
• Direct Credit Transfer to our Special Appeals Bank Account: ASB 12-3192-0015998-02

I got that info from this page, Scoop
www.scoop.co.nz...
Theres quite a bit of info on that page

On a personal level, maybe contact the Red Cross NZ directly and see if they can use your experience.

Listening to RadioNZ whilst driving around this morning they had the 20 year veteran head of the British Rsecue Team (65 crew) on, he said "this is the best organised disaster he has ever been to"

Hi, I am new on here and have been watching and reading through various threads and well I live in the beautiful state of Oregon and have heard about a lot of strange rainbows in the clouds and saw a few pics and vids of this especially the one in china right before the major quake that happened there. I heard and read there is some speculation that those strange rainbows might be ominous of an impending quake well whether true or not I figured on one of these quake threads I might as well say what I just saw and I know we have an unusual weather system going through the pacific NW at the current time and that the HAARP may or may not be responsible for a lot of our very odd weather on this planet and major quakes showing up(I personally think so and also think(my opinion) that there are many other factors as well and not just HAARP alone.) but I just saw and tried to get a few pics but my camera just wouldn't work for me they came out to blurry even though you can faintly see it but if I can post them I will blurry or not and I know what rainbows look like and all I can say it was no normal rainbow. Does anyone know if these "rainbows" mean anything even if not quake related?

I really love this sight, it seems this is a good place for real news and not just pork but stuff that really matters thanks ppl for all the info you put out here if not for this site fox news might not have been exposed to the dangers of fracking which had no clue and only thought the word frack was a BSG slang word
among other things, I just hope they have not caused severe damage before something catastrophic happens and many people lose there lives in Arkansas or any fracking place these mother frackers frack at chasing there unanswerd quest for billions....I hope I stayed on topic enough considering this is a quake thread but I like to rant and rave but thanks.....

Thanks for the heads up, I forgot I was supposed to be tracking Chile as well, got absorbed in the ChCh quake, fell behind 6 days on Chile

USGS cover the country pretty well, and GUC pick up the dribs and drabs.

GUC gave that one a 4.8ML www.sismologia.cl...

While on Chile, I looked back to the 21st and no one posted the quake in Aisen that I could see.
A significant event as there hasn't been a quake in Southern Chile for quite a while.

Yes I have definitely heard about the rainbows before quakes. I don't know how reliable it is as far as predicting quakes but they have shown up before. Thank you for letting us know - something to keep in mind. Are you on the coast in Oregon or inland? I lived on the coast for 10 years in the 1990's. Beautiful!

I was born on the coast reedsport but my mom moved us to Roseburg in the late 85 when I was a baby which with everything going on I hope I am far enough inland if major tsunamis happen right now I am about 70 miles from the coast at 500ft. From what I have read about various other topics that may or may not be safe I know I've hear at least 100mi and 500ft in elevation from the coast. Yes I would agree Oregon is a beautiful state with the best views of how great this planet we live on is but so are many other states and countries

My gut feeling tells me something BIG is coming soon with these sudden painful migraines, lightheadedness, upset stomach feeling and my son has been super clingy lately the past few weeks when my migraines started. Anyone else feeling those feelings lately? I know I've read of quite a few people feeling that way too and was glad I was not the only one.

Thanks for your kind reply.

Will check the link.

I don't require nth degree scientific proof. Your judgment on this score would suffice.

If 100% were 100% certainty . . . where would your personal opinion be at this point in your research . . . as to whether or not quakes are being deliberately deleted from the public record?

Thanks tons for your kind reply.
