I don't know why,just a feeling.
Someone posted something about all the quakes going on,I then started up my eq3d,and I was like,whoa,what is going on.
That was when I saw all those little quakes it the south western US.
They usually associate foreshocks to a big quake as an after thought much later.

A side note,you all have heard about Greenland,haven't you?
Because of the rapid melting of the glaciers there,the land is rising because of the decrease in weight of the glaciers.
I would have never had thought that the weight of a glacier could have that much of an impact on the crust of the earth.
So,could this relief of pressure play out in different regions of the planet?

Anyone else get the feeling that another semi-large or large quake is coming before the week is out? Hell, even today. I'm all tingly, and it doesn't have much to do with the Mexico quake. I had my eye on the area yesterday and the day before with a bad feeling.

I take little heed to feelings and wouldn't normally post them but what the hell. I'm after saying to myself before, like before the Turkey quake and the set of quakes on Sept 15 incl. off Fiji that one was coming within a few hours and then it did. I was sure on the 15th that something would go down and once the activity started coming in from all over I was convinced that I was possessed.

Before the Turkey quake I had been at my Mother's house and told her that I had a feeling that people were going to die today, bluntly, she almost back handed me for putting it as I did, but I told her that I couldn't shake the feeling. I return to my place across the highway from hers an hour later and then the Turkey quake pops up and there I am eyes glued to the screen like wtf.

I don't think it means much and I realize how unrealistic it sounds but I figured I'd mention it any ways. It's easy to sort of replicate a feeling into a truth after having so many feelings. I find predictions and prophecies interesting even despite the lack of scientific basis, kind of like how birds and dogs go haywire or speed off before we can feel the actual quake itself. It's like they have p-wave monitors equip to their toes.

Yep, a bit like when we have large quakes here in New Zealand... it would be abnormal if we didn't considering our location... the area of the Mexico quake is seimically active too, it would be abnormal for them not to have them. So it's not an abnormal day in Mexico...

No tingly feelings here but we're due a big (I'm talking 7+) quake soon, hasn't been one for a while. Nothing mysterious in my hunch/guess/poke and not a prediction , it's just based on watching and stats really. We haven't had a mag 7 for 6 weeks or so (since Turkey end October I think). If I had to say where I'd say Vanuatu region (as per above musings by Muzzy) as it's been quiet in that neck of the woods for a while too but who knows.

Was the Mexican earthquake normal?

Since the area has a long history of earthquakes, the most likely answer is yes.

If the moon does trigger earthquakes, it does so by moving water. The most dynamic substance on earth. Right near the epicenter, we have a large body of water. The moon could have changed the stress levels on the fault. Also, this large body of water is not natural. There's a dam. The dam was built in the 1980's. The dam would change stress loads over the years. So there's a few factors to consider. Normal faulting. The big rock in the sky. And a big concrete obstruction built by humans.
