Fracking fact # 1.

Hydraulic Fracturing causes earthquakes.
These earthquakes have unique characteristics which differentiate them from normal, nature earthquakes.
Hate them, or love them, scientists have the numbers. The data. The data is telling the truth.

The data says these earthquakes are man-made.
Fracking causes earthquakes,

Micro-earthquakes change stress levels on adjacent natural faults.
Also, depending on the structure of the rock formation, the injected fluids can breach given boundries and the fluids can "lubricate" natural faults.

Fracking causes earthquakes.
These earthquakes and the fluid can trigger natural faults. Once, the fault starts to move and overcomes resistence, there may be little to stop a full rupture. Or, set of a chain of events.


Fracking will cause a major disaster when this happens.
This is a race against time.
Fracking must stop now.
Before it destoys a major urban area. Or sets off a cluster of major earthquakes in adjencet regions, destroying many areas. 1811 AD

Very cool. And very possibly. But got to admit, that was a bit tough to track down, as far as figuring out which of the UU stations this was showing up on in GEE. But persistence pays.

Man, oh man... Must say I think you've summed it all up frighteningly well and that you write the shocking truth. Not just because of the data etc but also gut instinct. We are indeed totally 'fracked' if this continues.

Not a rhetorical question. How DO we stop it? How many places/causes can a people 'Occupy' ?

Check out the map off KOERI and all the red dots, and thats just the last 7 days.
Has anyone been counting the aftershocks? I stopped counting after 3 days at #654

Robin's brain broke. Didn't you read the last post written by Robin? That may help explain some of it. And I wrote down what I think happened on Mike Hard Times Arkansas song thread. So you may want to read those posts and maybe you'll figure out what happened. I think his illness- and pressures- fractured him.

ranging from M2 to 3 = 1265,
ranging from M3 to 4 = 1080,

I felt weird and shaky in my chair just now, but very slightly. It might be me, a spell of dizziness (for some reason) but just in case I actually felt a tremor, like before, and I was right,
This occurred a about a minute and-so ago, 1130'ish pm US Central. I'm still feeling off kilter, and now, my cat is suddenly acting up.

Ridiculous.

They are claiming the 5.6M Oklahoma earthquake was too large to be man-made. They state this despite the FACT that at the Rocky Mountain Arnsel in Colorado, injection wells produced a 5.5M earthquake.

So, injection wells can cause a 5.5M quake. But not a 5.6 M quake.
Make sense to you?

Yes, that Utah swarm is interesting. But not extraordinary. Afterall, there's known faults running under those mountains. Beautiful country I bet.

I can appreciate your speculation regarding Robin... but that's all it is. Speculation.

Many of us love and adore Robin and for his sake, we hope that you are wrong. Personally, I don't think it's right, humane or fair of you to come on and make such a speculation. Those of us who know Robin, know he indeed does have a life away from ATS.

He is a father, and when his children are with him, they have is devoted attention. Robin also has been known to live his life and go away for periods of time.

Robin will be the first one to talk about his mental state, how it maybe affecting him and talk about it openly and honestly. He definitely does not need your 'analysis" of his situation. Nor do we, for that matter.

With all due respect, please do not come on here, where so many of us have become a "family" of sorts, and start with claims such as you have made. When Robin is ready, he will be back. And he is fully capable of letting us all know where he has been, if that is his choice.
