Dont worry,we dont have any active Volcanos here in Germany as far as i know (which isn´t saying much ) Quakes in that Location are normal,but big ones like the last one are pretty rare.

This makes one Foreshock (Mag 1.4 on Sunday Evening) The Main one (Mag 4.5) and so far 4 Aftershocks (Mag 3.2 -> 2.4 -> 3.7 -> 2.1)

Just to clarify why i post this,since it seems not really significant on a Global Scale,but for Europe and especially Germany,Quakes like those are pretty rare here.

I must correct you... eiffel is still active!

Yup.....that was a big shake for the volcano.

The USGS website has the Mt. St. Helens quake listed as a 4.3 rather than a 3.3. Are they just slow to correct their data, or has it been upgraded?

Yup...that's a big one for there. I went ahead and started a thread, just in case this continues and it might start to look like there is some volcanic action happening. At that depth, I would think it may be magmatic vs tectonic...although it is quite big for that.

Any thoughts anyone?

I noticed that this Laacher-see volcano is a super volcano??? The diameter is 300 km!!! I live ther some 60-80km from! They say it's weird that ther some greater earthquakes are. I could drive ther to look it for myself, LOL?? Link from the last quak: hisz.rsoe.hu...
