Muzzy, glad to see your back. From the hosptial and from the past. I noticed you posted on Quake Watch 2010 again. Be well. And you've not misses much. Everyone is noting the quiet. I should note that we are midway through the lunar cycle and maybe this is a partial reason for the ebb.

Also, I am noticing that the eastern US is very quiet. Once again it is interesting that the quakes are clustering when they come, and the areas are quiet all at the same time. I suppose the best thing to do now is watch as the activity returns and see if there is another major cluster, or if they just pop up at random intervals. If there is a true pattern, we should fist see something out Colorado way, followed by some near Virginia within a short time-frame.

Muzzy, glad you are back! I hope you are doing well.

Robin Hushhhhh. Let the eastern US remain quiet....

Don't think any further on the US quakes...they are going to go bye-bye

I'm with Crazy...need some much needed sleep..no noises tonight, nothing freaking me out. Need to catch up on some Zzzzz's....see you all in the morning. I hope tonight remains calm in the quake watch.

The abclocal.go.com... cam is still twitching.

Also i noticed that its more out of focus now and that's kind of odd.

This is not normal but might be normal now a days with all the earth changes going on.

There's a couple of English ones here still. Maybe they got removed because they're now listed as possible explosions? I don't know anything, I've just woken up.

*ETA*
I've just found this thread of Puterman's from last year www.abovetopsecret.com... It seems like this happened before off the North Coast of France and it turned out they were controlled explosions of some sort.

Ello, just got out the bath, sorry for the wait

I think by looking at Putermans thread when something similar happened last year that it's most likely a controlled explosion of some sort. Maybe a WWII shell being detonated or something? I'm only guessing

It seems this happens fairly frequently all round the channel. Basically WWII ordinance still turning up.

So far every time that they have said possible explosion it either gets changed to 'confirmed' or gets removed. Sometime changed and then removed when they get round to it.

Either way it appears to be a normal event - it blowing up old bombs can in ant way be considered normal!

Does this account for all the Hums globally?

I read the article Robin and it doesn't appear to be a "Why" it is making these humming noises or did I miss that part? I only saw where they speak of something going into the ground which vibrates it to make the noises and vibrations in peoples houses.

@JammyQ and PuterMan.
Thank you both for that. Brings back sad memories from family history.
My grandfather and his brother were in the merchant navy during the war. They were involved with the evacuation of Dunkirk. Taid (Welsh for grandfather) was on his way into port as his brother Owain was on his way out. They hailed each ther by megaphone Taid warned his brother about the mines that were floating about. That was the last a member of my family saw Owain. Lost at sea assumed to mine. I have his watch chain as a bracelet.

thanks for the welcomes back, I'm doing OK so far thanks, for anyone who has been in hospital themselves will know I am now going through sleep pattern disruption from being woke up al all hours "here, take this pill".
I'm glad it was quiet while I was in Hospital, but at least I was in a safe place, its a new one and built to withstand a Mag 8 earthquake, with floating rubber pad foundations and its own massive water tanks and power system.

Thank you for sharing that story with us. It's great that you have something of his to keep his memory going. Hugssss.

My grandfathers brother was killed in war too. Not 'the war' but the Katyn Massacre in Poland. My grandfather used to tell me the most incredible stories about occupied Poland but I never really appreciated them until I got older and started researching my family history.

I should probably say something earthquakey now before I inadvertently derail everything!
Have a good day everyone!
