On EMSC this looks as if this is the same quake

Magnitude mb 6.3
Region OFFSHORE BIO-BIO, CHILE
Date time 2011-02-11 20:05:27.0 UTC
Location 36.41 S ; 73.24 W
Depth 5 km
Distances 38 km NW Talcahuano (pop 252,968 ; local time 17:05:27.9 2011-02-11)
33 km NW Tomé (pop 46,698 ; local time 17:05:27.9 2011-02-11)

Big difference. Who will make the first move?

Looking at the phase data I am guessing from a quick eye over that this is going to end up as a 6.5/6.6

I did not expect that. Looks more of a 6.6 to me. Just beginning to appear on LISS

This will undoubtedly have set off several microquakes in the Californian hydro extraction areas.

i posted this on another thread but it belongs more here..

the Sun released only 2 cme's this February, doesnt seem though powerful enough or fast enough to have influence on the latest 4 Chilean quakes
