Very interesting timing.Baradei has recently been talking to Iran and now wishes to talk with Israel. This visit itself is not expected to unearth any new developments but it could signal a change within official UN policy to deal with nations who break conventions on WMD more equally putting pressure on the U.S to be more even handed.

The director of the U.N.'s nuclear watchdog body -- the International Atomic Energy Agency -- is on his way to Israel in his first visit there since 1998.

Mohammed El Baradei's three-day trip has been dubbed by officials in Jerusalem as a "routine visit" to discuss bilateral issues, but his visit is likely to bring up matters Israel never likes to discuss openly.

Hmm..I don't think that much will come out of it though. it seems like Israel (along with China and Russia) is a nations that doesn't care what the UN or any country says about them

Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon said his country's policy of refusing to confirm or deny if it has nuclear weapons would continue, ahead of the arrival of the United Nation's atomic energy agency chief.
Mohamed ElBaradei is expected to ask for help in ridding the Middle East of nuclear weapons during his visit, despite Israel allegedly being the only state in the region to have the bomb.
